Hive and Wellness is dedicated to supporting Australian beekeeping families by sharing our iconic pure Australian honey with the world. This week, our Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Ben McKee, participated in an important roundtable with the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations, where leaders discussed trade with China and ensuring the stability and resilience of export markets for Queensland businesses. We’re proud to strengthen export opportunities and privileged to be able to bring Australia’s pure honey to new markets and consumers, fostering trust in the taste and quality of Australian honey worldwide.

As we celebrate Africa Day, we raise our glasses to the pivotal role of the beer industry in propelling the continent’s economic growth by being a part of initiatives such as the African Continental Free Trade Area(AfCFTA). This is an important multilateral perspective developed by the African Union to help meet Agenda 2063’s vision for a prosperous and inclusive continent. Our growth commitment is focused on local sourcing and community empowerment, producing products that are local, inclusive, and natural. By integrating traditional and high-value crops, we enhance agricultural value chains, food security, and sustainable practices. The beer industry is key to Africa's future, advocating for better infrastructure, streamlined trade, and community upliftment, fostering a prosperous and interconnected continent. Cheers to the realisation of AfCFTA’s vision for a prosperous, resilient and interconnected Africa! A nice story of our work in promoting Small and Growing Businesses in Vietnam. Small and growing businesses (SGBs) are key contributors to Vietnam’s economic growth, accounting for more than 90% of the country’s private sector, employing over 50% of the workforce, and contributing roughly 40% of GDP. However, their continuing success is hindered by lack of access to knowledge, capital, and markets. The U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Improving Private Sector Competitiveness project removes policy, market, and firm-level constraints faced by SGBs, including those owned or led by women and vulnerable populations. In doing so, USAID is expanding economic opportunities in Vietnam—for domestic and foreign firms. https://lnkd.in/gmJYM-yS
