This year's theme, "Take the Rights Path: My Health, My Right!" emphasizes the need for accessible, rights-based healthcare. At Tamra, we're committed to a rights-based approach, empowering individuals, especially those most vulnerable, to live healthy and fulfilling lives. Through the national HIV Community-Led Monitoring (CLM) program, funded by PEPFAR Ethiopia, we're leading a coalition of 13 partners to challenge stigma and discrimination, and ensure equitable access to HIV prevention, treatment, and care services across Ethiopia. Enhancing Interdepartmental Collaboration to Combat HIV Effective HIV control requires a unified approach across sectors. By strengthening interdepartmental collaboration, we can create a comprehensive response to HIV prevention, treatment, and care. Key Strategies: Integrated Health Services: Combine public health, medical, and social services for holistic care. Community Engagement: Partner with local organizations and leaders to tailor interventions. Education and Awareness: Promote HIV awareness and reduce stigma through educational initiatives. Data Sharing: Implement robust data-sharing systems to track progress and optimize resources. People matters. Across Europe limited information exists about the continuum of care for migrants impacted by HIV. The Global Stigma Index Report sheds light on the ongoing challenges faced by people living with HIV worldwide. Results indicate a significant gap in achieving the Global AIDS Strategy goal by 2025, with more than 10% still experiencing stigma and discrimination. This underscores the critical need for continued efforts to combat internalized and external HIV-related stigma, especially among key populations. The report serves as a crucial baseline for ongoing monitoring and policy shaping to drive impactful change at a global level. GNP+ remains dedicated to its mission by collaborating with HIV networks to advocate for improved quality of life for all individuals living with HIV. Through community-led research and resource provision, GNP+ empowers communities to lead the change for global advocacy.
