The We Lead regional summit 2024 is ongoing! The summit presents a unique convening of stakeholders from Kenya, Uganda, and Nigeria, including Communities of Action (COAs), Right holders (RHs), policymakers, consortium partners, duty-bearers, and allies. This summit provides a collaborative space to explore the diverse experiences of excluded groups of people that we work with, highlight innovative approaches to SRH-R advocacy, and develop strategies to address critical barriers faced by young women and other rights holders. The event is designed for cross learning opportunities that strengthen advocacy efforts at a regional level. By sharing actionable insights and forging strategic partnerships, the summit will provide RHs with a foundation to build upon their work and further their SRH-R goals. This year’s theme is "We Lead: Towards a Sustainable Future for SRHR and Gender Equity" . This theme focuses on developing sustainable strategies and practices that will continue to support SRH-R and gender equity beyond the current program phase. Happening during the 16-Days of activism against gender based violence campaign, this summit is part of a global call to action to end violence against women and girls. It comes at a time when Kenya is grappling with the grave issue of femicide therefore befitting for Kenya to host this summit. The 16 days international campaign aligns with the We Lead program’s mission to amplify the voices of rights holders (RHs) who face challenges in accessing essential SRHR services and exercising their rights. We are talking about all these issues and other SRH-R issues. And of course having fun! Its always energizing to be around young people.Hivos Education As A Vaccine Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Alliance Uganda Restless Development FEMNET - African Women's Development and Communication Network Action for Sustainability Initiative Positive Young Women Voices The Constellation - Community Life Competence Kuira Mary africa gender media initiative trust Amka Africa Justice Initiative
