On Day 2 at the 4th Digital Health Conference in Lisbon organised by UBIQ events, our Principal Consultant, ComEx Strategy, Claude Waddington, led a valuable group session focused on collaboration models in digital health ecosystems. These models bring together a wide range of stakeholders – from patients and healthcare providers to researchers and tech companies – to tackle complex healthcare challenges together. Our viewpoint resonates with the focus on creating collaborative frameworks around People, Process, and Technology to drive healthcare advancements. Key strategies like public-private partnerships, interdisciplinary collaborations, and joint ventures are instrumental in fostering digital health. These models enable knowledge sharing, pooling resources, and developing innovative solutions, ultimately enhancing healthcare outcomes through effective stakeholder collaboration. Our thanks go out to contributors like Hasnaa LIKAOUI at Bristol Myers Squibb, Aurora Craig at Roche, Nuno Carvalho at Takeda, Yulia Koinak at VITA325, and Bradley F. at Sidekick Health, whose insights enriched the conversation. I absolutely loved this Industry Report prepared by Otsuka Precision Health, Inc. (OPH)and HLTH Inc. Super valuable resources as we go into 2025 planning. Two points especially resonated: 1 - The emphasis on the shift from "patient" terminology to "individual" terminology. Patients receive care. The health of an "individual" is impacted by a multitude of factors and interactions that often go unmeasured. Individuals are becoming more active and empowered in their health journeys with information, technology and choice at their fingertips. The shift suggests a movement from passive participant to active participant in one's health outcomes. 2 - The Patient Experience vs. The Health Experience. The Health Experience takes a broader view into the prioritization of lifestyle choices, mental health, prevention, proactive care and more. A consideration of the Health Experience enables a more proactive approach towards health and care vs. a reactive approach. Highly recommend checking this one out!

It was fun visiting the Library of Congress for the first time on Wednesday September 25th 2024 where I explored most of the exhibits and what attracted my attention was that of Digital Memory. The exhibition Digital Memory at the #LibraryofCongress showcases how technology can shape lives and as a civic engagement it demonstrates how the society uses technology to access information and resources which influences social changes including in healthcare. It highlights the impact of technology on society and also preserves the digital history of significant events, including those related to healthcare which can inform future healthcare policies and practices. This exhibition fosters critical thinking about the role of technology in healthcare and society, helping healthcare professionals to better understand the complexities of healthcare in the digital age. Also, it explores #DigitalDivide in examining the disparities in access to technology and information which can highly be a barrier for resources to better health outcome. By exploring digital memory, healthcare providers can better understand the impact of digital divide on healthcare access and outcomes hence stay informed as well as promoting health equity and addressing social determinants of health. Where limited access to information and resources can exacerbate health disparities. The exhibition offers valuable insights for healthcare professionals to better understand how technology has an impact on ultimately improving patient care and promoting health equity.
