A happenstance in 2002 led to our foray into real estate. We had acquired a plot of 1000 square metres opposite Ahmedabad’s famous landmark, Rajpath Club, to develop our office. However, it was then decided to develop the land for a commercial project instead. Here, we constructed a four-storey building named Shaival with showrooms on the ground floor and office spaces on the upper three floors with our business partner.
