Ahmedabad has grown towards the West over the years, starting from Ashram Road to CG Road and subsequently to SG Highway. Just as yesteryear stalwarts historically hired international architects such as Louis Kahn, Le Corbusier, and our very own BV Doshi, we too similarly strove to build landmarks (for the first time for commercial purposes) by appointing architects such as the German firm Blocher Partners and Ahmedabad’s Apurva Amin that will serve as totems representing the zeitgeist even decades after their creation. And thus, we became instrumental in creating iconic buildings on the SG Highway that became synonymous with our city and state’s growth.
