Before the crowds arrive at the first day of glasstec – International Trade Fair … Checking out the interesting things in Hall 13 😀 Here is the largest centre distance ISX machine available in the world, I believe. (Tell me if I’m wrong.) Here it is configured in TG for 6 1/4” production meaning wine and spirits production up to around 1.5 L in size is possible! That’s a 50% increase in productivity for such production. Also it can run DG up to 80mm diameter ware meaning what is normally made on SG can be made DG giving a 100% increase in productivity over a “standard” type IS machine capability. This T&T “ISX Machine” will be delivered to Glass Futures after the show ready for when they have glass to run down their glass container line. Glass Futures are open to making any production size which is fine for this machine as it can be configured for any size of glass container normally produced on any IS Machine, from smallest to largest. Smaller ware up to normal quad production gob size (95mm centres) can be run in penta gob (5 gobs) giving 25% increase in productivity (Rejectors for 5 gobs configured as standard on the machine ready to go!) Leaving this stand of T&T now to see other interesting developments. KONATIC are the next on my list to visit before the crowds arrive 😉😀.

GrindingHub, the international trade fair for #grindingtechnology, was opened today in Stuttgart for the second time. As per Dr Markus Heering, Executive Director, VDW (German Machine Tool Builders' Association), the organizer of the event, GrindingHub has already established itself as the undisputed meeting place for the #grindingtechnology community. #Grindingtechnology is a small but thriving sector which represents one of the most important #metalworking processes. “It is so gratifying to be able to bring together all the #internationalmarket leaders and put together such an attractive show for #tradevisitors,” continues Heering. The GrindingHub in figures: around #490exhibitors from over #30countries, more than half from abroad, roughly #41500gross sq mt in #fourhalls—up from the previous three. The range of products has also been expanded and now covers more than #40product sectors. There is therefore growth in all the key figures. “And this means that we are meeting in full our aim of showcasing the entire #grindingprocesschain,” explains Heering.
