❗Could asset-backed securities kickstart the heat pump leasing and heat as a service markets?❗ #HaaS emerged as a buzzphrase a few years ago, but despite a lot of chatter few propositions have gained traction, with a key barrier being that the model has been quite expensive for customers. Could the recent emergence of asset-backed debt facilities in Europe change that? Asset-backed securitisation is not a new concept and has been around in the US for a decade. It’s only in the past couple of years though that a European market has started to grow. Solar installation companies were the first to kick things off but more recently two heating players (Aira and Hometree ) have announced #securitisation deals. Securitisation helps make capital-intensive business models like leasing and HaaS less risky and cheaper for the technology provider and enables them to offer more attractive finance options to customers. I am therefore optimistic that these deals could be the push that is needed to revive the HaaS market! 🤔 What do you think? Will we see more heating specialists announce securitisation deals soon? Leave your thoughts in the comments! 🤔

Rt Hon Rachel Reeves has announced a £55m boost for on-street charging, alongside reports the UK Government is set to support electric vehicle (EV) purchasing too. The charge point cash will come from the government’s National Wealth Fund (NWF), which will take an equity stake in firm Connected Kerb, and it includes another £10m in investment from Aviva Investors, bringing a total of £65m for delivery. The announcement comes as reports in the Financial Times claim that the UK Government is also in discussions with the automotive financial sector to deliver low or even interest-free loans to assist EV sales. According to the news, the government would underwrite the loans, reducing the costs of monthly repayments for drivers and, therefore, also lowering the overall cost of an EV purchase. At EVC Solutions Ltd, we’re here to help businesses navigate this transition, ensuring seamless EV charging solutions for fleets, workplaces, and public spaces. The future of EV adoption is accelerating ...see what's possible #EVCharging #FleetManagement #Sustainability #EVCsolutions
