I visited Berlin 10 years ago to immerse myself in its history. Now, a decade later, I return with the opportunity to help shape its future. On Monday, I had the privilege to speak about the transformative power of AI in front of the VDMA panel, the largest industrial association in Europe, representing over 3,600 member companies in the mechanical and plant engineering sector. Our focus wasn't just on AI, but on the urgent need to stay competitive amid labor shortages and global crises. These challenges are significant, but I strongly believe the solution lies in human-AI co-intelligence. I find it deeply meaningful that near the historic Brandenburg Gate, a symbol of progress and history, we discussed how AI can lead us to new technological heights. Just as the Brandenburg Gate has witnessed history pass and evolve, AI is now the gateway to future advancements in our industries. I am thankful to Hartmut Rauen, Eric Maiser and Pamela Schäfer, for inviting me to this event and fostering such fruitful discussions. My invitation to speak underscores VDMA's commitment to delivering innovative solutions for their members. I am excited about the potential for future collaborations within the organization.
