🩷 On Wednesdays, we wear pink! 🩷 Following on from my post last week and continuing with this hugely important focus during October, breast cancer awareness month. Whilst I was taking our dog out for his lunch time walk today, (the gorgeous boy in the photo) I had a thought. We are always so vigilant when it comes to our pets because they rely on us to be aware, off their food, trip to the vet to get checked out, is that a limp, off to the vet to get checked out, lump or bump, off to the vet to be sure it's nothing serious. But when it comes to ourselves, we don't always apply the same thought process or care...whats that? oh I'm sure it's nothing, it'll be fine or I'll go to the GP next month, maybe. Taking charge of your health starts with self-awareness. One of the most important things you can do for early breast cancer detection is to check yourself regularly. While mammograms and clinical exams are vital, knowing your own body and recognizing changes can make a huge difference. So when you are checking your pets health and wellbeing, make sure to check yourself. Make self-exams a part of your monthly routine—your health is worth it! And if you notice anything unusual, consult your doctor right away. How to check your chest https://lnkd.in/ehGSDdNm Please join me in continuing to spread awareness and share links like the one above, you never know, it could reach that one person that really needs it. Together, we can spread knowledge, support early detection, and contribute to the fight against breast cancer. Awareness saves lives! #BreastCancerAwareness #EarlyDetection #FightCancer #WomensHealth #PinkRibbon #SupportTheCause #HealthAdvocacy #ThinkPink (Ft Flash, our dog) 🩷

📣 November is here, and that means Movember is in full swing 👨 Movember is more than just a chance to grow some epic facial hair; it’s a powerful movement dedicated to raising awareness about men’s health, including mental health, suicide prevention, testicular cancer, and prostate cancer. That's why I’m hosting a free, online Prostate Cancer Awareness session at 10am on Tuesday, 5th November to help men (and everyone who supports them) learn the facts, understand the risks, and prioritise their health 👊 Join me to: 👨 Understand the symptoms and signs of prostate cancer. 👨 Learn what checks are available and why early action is crucial. 👨 Discover resources and support networks available. Let’s use Movember as a reminder to check in on our health and those we care about. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to empower yourself with knowledge and take control of your health journey! 🔗 Reserve your spot and take a proactive step towards a healthier future: Drop me a 👋 in the comments or in my DMs and I'll send you the link for yourself or to share with your teams. #Movember #MensHealth #ProstateCancerAwareness #EarlyDetection #Prevention

It's Movember! Get your MO on and help raise awareness for men's health issues, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Too often, men put off visiting their GP and choose to 'just put up with it' until whatever it is, becomes serious. Yet regular check-ups can be life-saving. GPs are perfectly positioned to provide preventive health screenings for men and catch issues early, before they progress. If you want to help change the face of men's health and have some fun at the same time, head on over to the Movember website, grow that MO and start the conversation. #menshealth #movember #primarycare

April's spring showers aren't just washing away winter; they're washing away silence and stigma for a cause close to our hearts: Testicular Cancer Awareness Month. We at NELCO aren't just shielding the world from radiation; we're champions of well-being, and that includes shining a light on men's health and early detection. We applaud the warriors navigating this journey - the athletes who fight with the same tenacity on and off the field, the fathers fiercely holding onto their dreams for their families, the young men redefining strength with every step. But let's also acknowledge the vulnerability beneath their smiles, the questions they whisper in the dark, the fear they battle alongside the disease. That's why awareness matters. NELCO empowers our community with knowledge - about risk factors, early warning signs, and the importance of self-checks. We break down stigma with open conversations and celebrate the stories of courage that inspire hope. We educate not just men, but their families and loved ones, creating a circle of support where vulnerability finds solace and knowledge becomes a shield. This April, let's join hands and make a difference. Share information, encourage self-checks, celebrate victories, and offer a listening ear. Together, we can shine a light on testicular cancer awareness, raise our voices, and bring us closer to a future where early detection reigns and treatment triumphs. #radiationoncology #radiationtherapy #nelcoworldwide #safetyforlife #radiationshielding

They Died For A Day For An Ad Campaign No new news when a known personality does something crazy In the name of getting "eyeballs" And they do, but at what cost? Here's what you should avoid even at your lowest engagements! → Triggering Traumas Pretending to die makes fun of the real pain and loss of those suffering. → Clickbaits Faking one's death does not teach facts, It spreads false information rather than raises awareness. → Exploitation Using cervical cancer to get attention & publicity can be seen as taking advantage of a serious issue for personal gain. It risks making the cause seem secondary. → Silencing The Actual Victims Drawing attention to oneself as the pretend victim ignores and silences the real experiences of patients and survivors. → Disempowering Presenting cervical cancer as an individual's fictional story discounts efforts to empower communities with education and resources. P.S: What were your thoughts on this event? cause my intial reaction was wth?! P.P.S: Was contemplating on if I should talk about this but if we don't this is going to be recurring theme to get attention. #adcampaigns

🌟 Let's rally around our loved ones fighting cancer! 🌟 To all the incredible cancer warriors out there and their caregivers, here's a reminder that you're not alone. 💪 We can make a real difference by offering practical support in their time of need. 🍲 Whip up some homemade meals that they can easily freeze and enjoy whenever they need a nourishing pick-me-up. 🌱 Offer to lend a hand in the garden. Whether it's planting colorful flowers or tending to veggies, a little outdoor therapy can work wonders. 🚗 Provide a lift to those crucial hospital appointments. Sometimes, just knowing someone's got your back on the journey means the world. 🧹 Help out with household chores like cleaning or laundry. It's amazing how much relief a tidy home can bring during tough times. 🐾 Take care of their furry friends by walking them or accompanying them to the vet. Pets are family too, and ensuring their well-being eases the burden. 🛒 Assist with grocery shopping or errands. Every little task you tackle means more time for rest and recovery. 📚 Offer to return or pick up library books. A good read can be a soothing escape during treatment. Let's spread love and support in practical ways. Together, we can lighten the load and make the journey a little bit easier. 💛 #CancerSupport #CommunityStrong #SpreadLove #TriciasHope
