As a journalist, I choose to report about women, not just that I am a woman, but if we look at the numbers, women are quite underrepresented in the media. Even when they are represented, the news is so victimizing and draws a picture of a helpless, defeated woman. I delete myself from such contributions and choose to to be on the side of women. Women of impact, power, and resilience. This women's month I choose to report about women who are in spaces that are traditionally 'deemed' to be male spaces.
