Christmas cactuses are a holiday favorite, with their vibrant blooms adding a cheerful touch to your home or office. With proper care, these resilient plants can thrive for years to come. Here’s how to keep your Christmas cactus healthy and blooming: 🌵 Place your Christmas cactus in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. 🌵 Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil feels dry. Ensure the pot has drainage holes, and never let the plant sit in standing water. 🌵 These tropical plants love humidity. Use a pebble tray or mist the leaves occasionally to maintain the right environment. 🌵 Keep your Christmas cactus in a room with consistent temperatures between 65-75°F. Avoid drafts, heat vents, or sudden temperature changes. 🌵 To encourage blooms, provide your cactus with 12-14 hours of darkness each night and cooler temperatures (around 50-60°F) for 6-8 weeks leading up to the holiday season. 🌵 Feed with a diluted houseplant fertilizer every 4 weeks during the growing season (spring through summer) and reduce feeding in the fall.
