Technik für Kinder bei HORSCH in Landau // Technology for Kids at HORSCH in Landau 🌍 International News from Germany 🌍 🇬🇧 n cooperation with Technik für Kinder e.V., we hosted an exciting holiday programme at our Landau site during the autumn break. Children explored hands-on technology projects and gained insights into the fields of metalworking and electronics. ➡ Wednesday: Focus on metal technology, where the children built their own Connect Four game, learning the basics of metalworking – from design to final assembly. A fantastic achievement for everyone involved! ➡ Thursday: Electronics took centre stage, with children soldering circuit boards with colourful, flashing LEDs – a project they proudly took home! They also enjoyed factory tours and learned about our diverse training professions, with the highlight being rides on our large self-propelled sprayers – an unforgettable experience! Die Kinder konnten Technik hautnah erleben und erhielten Einblicke in die Bereiche Metalltechnik und Elektronik. ➡ Mittwoch: Schwerpunkt Metalltechnik mit dem Bau eines eigenen Vier-Gewinnt-Spiels – ein tolles Erfolgserlebnis von der Konstruktion bis zur Montage! ➡ Donnerstag: Der Fokus lag auf Elektronik, wo die Kinder Platinen löteten und mit bunten LEDs zum Leuchten brachten. Ein Highlight, das sie stolz mit nach Hause nehmen konnten! Zusätzlich gab es Werksführungen und Informationen zu unseren Ausbildungsberufen, wobei die Mitfahrt auf unseren großen Selbstfahrerspritzen das absolute Highlight war! In an open discussion, exciting questions were asked - and fascinating insights were gained for all involved. New ‘Willstätt Campus‘ in Germany to set benchmarks for apprenticeship 💪 👨🏫 The Koehler Group is investing roughly 73 million euros in the new site in Willstätt. Around 170 jobs of the whole Group will be based at the new ‘Willstätt Campus’ in the medium term. Koehler will also use the premises to develop a modern, attractive apprenticeship center for technical apprenticeship that meets Koehler’s high apprenticeship quality standards and corroborates the Best Place to Learn quality seal. The available space is five times larger than the existing apprenticeship workshop and will provide a range of training rooms and state-of-the-art learning workstations. Paper technology apprenticeship at Koehler Paper is among the best on offer in Germany, which was recently demonstrated by a Koehler Paper apprenticeship graduate being awarded Best in Germany. #apprenticeship #paperforthefuture
