Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute to relocate after failing to secure a new lease The Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute is relocating from its current location on the former Polyclinic campus in Harrisburg after failing to reach a new lease agreement with UPMC. Penn State Health is moving the institute’s inpatient services to Holy Spirit Medical Center, a hospital in East Pennsboro Township that the health system acquired in 2020. The institute is also working to secure a new location in Harrisburg for outpatient services and an opioid treatment clinic. The relocation, which is expected to be completed by September 2026, follows a failed negotiation for a new lease with UPMC, which had been in talks with Penn State Health since January.
