Your clients might be facing "hospital facility fee" bills in the mail when seeking care at outpatient facilities, even if they forked over a copay. Hospitals are adding facility fees to routine services at clinics and outpatient centers they own, sometimes even if they are not located near the main hospital campus. These fees can significantly increase your medical bill by $15, $100--or more. As of now at least, Michigan has not followed other states in enacting any notification requirements or bans. #healthinsurance #healthcare
