We are deeply grateful to the Mont Kiara community for inviting AGTC Genomics to share our experience on the importance and benefits of early cancer detection, in conjunction with the Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Day. Cancer remains one of the leading health challenges globally, but the good news is that early detection saves lives. By identifying cancer at its earliest stages, we can: ✔ Improve survival rates significantly, as treatment options are often more effective in early stages. ✔ Reduce treatment costs by avoiding advanced and intensive care. ✔ Empower individuals with timely information to make better healthcare decisions. Early detection is particularly critical for cancers like pancreatic cancer, which often shows no symptoms in its initial stages. Through advances in genomics and non-invasive screening, we aim to make early detection accessible and affordable for everyone. We were inspired by the thoughtful questions and enthusiasm of the Mont Kiara community, and we hope this session helps encourage proactive health management. Together, let’s raise awareness, spread knowledge, and save lives. Thank you, Mont Kiara Residents, for this meaningful engagement. Let’s continue advocating for early detection and supporting one another in the fight against cancer. #EarlyCancerDetection #PancreaticCancerAwareness #CommunityHealth #GenomicsForGood

📣 We are excited to share our latest study titled “Patients’ perspectives on cancer care disparities in Central and Eastern European countries: experiencing taboos, misinformation, and barriers in the healthcare system.” This research delves into the experiences of cancer patients in Slovakia and Croatia, shedding light on the disparities and challenges they face in accessing comprehensive cancer care. Through focus group discussions, we've identified key barriers, such as lack of information, cultural taboos, and socioeconomic impacts, that need urgent attention. Our findings underscore the need for targeted interventions and better resource allocation to promote inclusive healthcare across Central and Eastern Europe. 🔗 Read the paper 👉 https://lnkd.in/dZjx6rDT #CancerCare #HealthcareInnovation #BEACONProject #EU4Health #EUCancerPlan #CancerDisparities

Blue November is a global campaign held throughout the entire month, aiming to raise awareness among men about the importance of prevention and early diagnosis of prostate cancer. Potássio do Brasil, as a Citizen Company, supports this cause and creates space on its social media to spread awareness and engage men in this important issue. Raising awareness about prostate cancer is essential, as it is the most common type of cancer in men, with stigma around exams and the topic itself often hindering the chances of a cure. The lack of information leads many men to seek medical help only at advanced stages of the disease, which compromises the effectiveness of treatment. Men, join the Blue November movement, visit a urologist, and undergo regular exams if you are 45 or older. Raising awareness is the first step towards prevention and helps save lives. #MensHealth #PotassioDoBrasil #BrazilPotash #PotashFertilizers #ESG #Potash #PotassiumChloride #Amazonas #Autazes #PotassioAutazesProject #LicensedForInstallation #BlueNovember

Excited to be engaging with organisations such as the Country Women’s Associations to gather valuable insights on lung cancer screening for rural and remote populations. These discussions are crucial for understanding the unique challenges and needs faced by these communities. Together, we can work towards better health outcomes and more accessible screening programs. #LungCancer #EarlyDetectionSavesLives #RuralHealth #CommunityEngagement #NationalLungCancerScreeningProgram #ComingJuly2025
From the long distances to the demands of property life, we're looking at ways to make lung cancer screening more accessible and inclusive! Recently our Lung Cancer Screening policy officer Abby met with the Queensland Country Women's Association. Abby shares, "Their insights were invaluable, helping us understand the unique challenges faced by those living far from healthcare service." The Australian Government's Department of Health and Aged Care are working with Lung Foundation Australia and other co-design partners, NACCHO and Cancer Australia, peak bodies and state and territory government health departments on the best way to deliver equitable access to lung cancer screening. Our team is focused on making sure the National Lung Cancer Screening program (launching July 2025) reaches those most at risk, with a key focus area in remote and rural areas! #LungCancerScreening #HealthcareAccessibility #RuralHealth #RemoteHealthcare #LungCancer
