NEW DATA: With our partner CIESIN, we’ve published v3.0 data updates for #DRC settlement names, health facilities, and health areas and zones. With two new provinces included, Mongala and Tshopo, updated data is now available for 13 provinces. By leveraging these data, GRID3 can help health campaigns be more precise, equitable, and effective in reaching all populations and achieving their goals. Today, I will be presenting at the Healthy Markets Community of Practice (HMCoP) which will have a specific focus on Malawi. My session will provide an overview of the family planning uptake, current gaps and market segmentation, highlighting key opportunities for private sector engagement. We will discuss the Ministry of Health's initiatives to foster an enabling environment for private sector engagement, and will conclude with an overview of PROPEL Health's efforts in supporting private sector engagement Malawi's health sector. As #Day2 of #AfricaEvidenceWeek2024 celebrations comes to an end, sit back and enjoy listening to Sherry Ahirirwe, a research scientist at The Center for Rapid Evidence Synthesis (ACRES), talking about the development of a national health research agenda in Uganda that has traditionally relied on expert opinion and disease burden: https://lnkd.in/dkYez3ph. However, this approach has limitations. To address this, ACRES is leading an effort to create an evidence gap map of all health research conducted in Uganda between 2010 and 2022. This map will inform the revision of the 2010 Health Research Agenda in collaboration with the Uganda National Health Research Organisation and the Ministry of Health. This map will guide the next phase of priority setting, involving stakeholder engagement through an online survey, Delphi exercises, and a physical meeting.
