Sometimes visiting places and meeting people can really shake you inside out. Today, I went to two different restaurants in Jaipur. The food was the same, the hospitality was the same, but! the pricing - just half!? I mean this really made me understand how competitive pricing can put you on the pedal and can play a key factor in getting, and retaining customers. Having the chance to learn businesses in real time is such a bliss. Open to discussions! #JaipurDiaries #HoReCa #businessmindset #travelling #botd #Ajmer #price_evaluation #restaurants #branding #competitive_pricing

The HoReCa industry (hotels, restaurants, and catering) is at a pivotal moment. Despite growing 10% over the last 3 years, it now faces new challenges and opportunities. With growth projected at 6% in the next 3 years, the question is: how will this sector navigate skill shortages, unorganized competition, and the rise of tech-driven solutions? Here's what you need to know about the segmentation & future of HoReCa in India. The sector is divided into 2 parts. Organized (hotels, restaurants) and Unorganized (Dhabas, Street vendors). This industry contributes to the world’s GDP of 198 billion and our country’s GDP by 7%. The sector is currently lacking skilled labor and a career interest, because of lack of training facilities for young people. The sector is also gaining help from technological advancements to enhance efficiency. The unorganized sector faces several challenges like lack of funding, customer acquisition cost, and unable to compete with chains who even deliver food at home. Coming to the hospitality industry, which is segmented into 4 types. The luxury hotel chains, Upper middle, middle class & economy and economy class. The 5 dominant players in this industry are Taj Hotels, ITC Ltd, Oberoi Hotels, Lemon Tree Hotels & The Park in no order. The industry has been expected to grow by 255 billion dollars at the end of 2026. The room occupancy for a hotel had a jump of 66-67% with respect to the past year. Government of India has already planned new helipads and airports for international travelers in cities where tourist visitation is high. Right now, the industry in terms of growth, is placed just above fragmentation, where there are dominant players in the sector, but not dominating & just below consolidated, where the market is dominated by top years. #equityresearch

No matter how much AR ,VR and AI driven tech we contemplate to use in hotels the heart and soul of any hotel chain or brand are it's staff it's people. The result: a legion of walking talking marketing mouth pieces, in simple words Brand Advocates Well crafted brand flim by Hyatt India and its creative agency.
#MadeWithLove When I joined Hyatt - I was told one thing constantly - Your Delhi hotel makes amazing food. "I was there for my anniversary / birthday / I loved going there as a kid / It was our family dinner space / I met my wife there for the first time / I proposed there/ etc etc." That's the power of food, I always wondered. Excited to share our latest campaign that talks about something that everyone thinks, shares, talks, and misses - FOOD! As a five-star hotel chain, we wear many hats. But food and beverage are our way of saying we care for you, and this is our way of connecting with you. At our restaurants we make new rules, challenge the norms and set new benchmarks for ourselves. Through this campaign - we wanted to communicate these timeless values that has defined us for decades in a way that is uniquely us. That's why we say 'Made with love, cherished forever'. This campaign is for all those memories you made at Hyatt hotels and many more to come. Pune's Hospitality Industry Faces Crisis Following Stringent Crackdowns, Many Plan Shift To Goa And Other Cities Reported by Sumit Singh & Tikam Shekhawat Pune, 15th July 2024: The Porsche accident on May 19, which claimed the lives of two IT professionals after a drunk teenager collided with their bike in Kalyani Nagar, has triggered a significant fallout for Pune’s hospitality sector. Following the incident, the state excise department, Pune police, and Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) launched a series of crackdowns on restaurants and bars serving alcohol. The aftermath of these stringent measures has been devastating for the industry. According to hoteliers, approximately 5,000 individuals have lost their jobs due to the suspension or cancellation of licenses for about 70 pubs and bars by the District Collector. Additionally, the reduced footfall of customers has forced many establishments to cut staff, leading to further job losses. "Due to the excessive harassment and unjust treatment by authorities in Maharashtra, many restaurateurs and F&B industry professionals have decided to shift their business and jobs to more welcoming and business-friendly places like Goa, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and others," the hoteliers stated. "Despite our efforts to comply with regulations, we have been consistently treated like criminals and subjected to unnecessary baiting tactics. In contrast, states like Goa, Bangalore, and Delhi have shown a more supportive approach towards the industry. We look forward to a fresh start and a more positive environment that allows us to focus on serving our customers and growing our business." The exodus of businesses is expected to have severe financial repercussions for the state of Maharashtra. The hospitality industry is a significant contributor to the state's revenue, and the current situation is set to result in a substantial economic loss. The state stands to lose more than Crores in annual revenue from excise license fees alone. Moreover, the departure of these businesses signifies not only a loss of revenue but also a decline in investment within the state. This move is likely to tarnish Maharashtra’s reputation, making it appear non-congenial and unfriendly towards businesses. The crackdown on pubs and bars was aimed at addressing public safety concerns and preventing incidents like the fatal accident in Kalyani Nagar. However, the hospitality industry argues that the measures have been excessively harsh and have had unintended consequences, pushing businesses to relocate to states with more favorable regulatory environments. As Pune’s once-thriving hospitality sector faces an uncertain future, stakeholders are calling for a balanced approach that ensures public safety while also supporting the growth and sustainability of local businesses. The industry's plea for more cooperative and fair treatment highlights the need for policies that foster both safety and economic prosperity. #Pune #PuneNews

When it comes to restaurants, the word hospitality has always meant the art and science of crafting a warm, welcoming, and positive experience for guests. To guests, such hospitality feels almost magical. They know that the experience felt great and that feeling always keeps them coming back for more! Well, the same happened to me a couple of weeks ago on my way back to New Delhi from Mumbai. So, before catching the flight back, I spotted this really beautiful cafe by The St. Regis Mumbai. The ambience was so beautiful that it instantly roped me to hop in for a quick munch. But unfortunately, I had to face some delay in the service. That is, they served the food a bit late due to some issues in their kitchen. Yet still, as the food was great, I was happy. Later, I ordered a “Coffee Opera” pastry as an after-meal dessert and asked for the bill. The authorities at St. Regis were so hospitable that they didn't charge us for the pastry, taking into account the inconvenience caused in delayed service on their part. Well, what do you think happened after that? Of course, you're right! I made a point that I chose The St. Regis as my go-to place for a meal whenever I flew. Good hospitality experiences oftentimes help to buffer our stress, boredom, or exhaustion after a tiring day. It gives us an experience that replaces other emotions from the day. Moreover, it’s not a guest’s obligation to remember a restaurant or hotel. It is always the venue’s obligation to remember the guest without fault and to deliver service that makes us never forget them. This is achieved through such thoughtful gestures as a part of good hospitality. As a customer, we are always willing to pay for it, and we are only satisfied if our expectations are met with the service that we may receive. And hence, little things in hospitality go a long way in building strong guest relationships. #bannyabasu #imageconsultant #hospitality #guestrelations
