Briefly About Science: The Secret of Wooden Acoustics Lies in Air Bubbles We had the pleasure of collaborating with Tekniikan Maailma, a Finnish magazine that focuses on technology, science, and innovation, which featured an interview with our founders about our journey, technology, products, and exciting plans for the future. During the collaboration, we showcased our innovative bio-based acoustic tiles, made from wood fiber using a  foam forming technology and highlighted that our Teno acoustic tiles are not only eco-friendly, plastic-free, and fully recyclable, but also offer excellent acoustic properties at a cost comparable to traditional options like glass or mineral wool panels. “If your project isn’t accessible from the beginning, it means that it’s going to be become obsolete quite quickly as not everyone will be able to use it” A pretty accurate and damning quote from a really interesting article which basically outlines why if you aren’t considering accessibility in your designs then you’re behind the times. As designers this is something we need to factor in at the start of a project and not shoehorn in later down the line when it’s much harder not to sacrifice all of that creative magic.

Should You Get the Man on the Street to Build a Plane? "If I’d asked customers what they wanted, they would have said, 'A faster horse!'" — Steve Jobs Some may argue that public engagement exercises add little value, especially when dealing with technical issues. It's true that the general public might not know what they don’t know. And, of course, you can’t expect the average person to understand the intricacies of, say, high-pressure turbines in a plane engine. But that doesn’t mean public engagement is unnecessary—or worse, done just for show (wayang!). The right approach to engagement is more nuanced. While you want your engineers and designers to build the plane, you still need to understand what your stakeholders values. Do people want more legroom? Are they flying more domestic or international routes? This kind of market research can inform the design process to better meet stakeholders' needs. And once the plane is built, gathering feedback on things like the interior can ensure it hits the mark with end users. However, be mindful not to ask questions you're not prepared to address. For instance, if you ask everyone whether they want more legroom, the answer will always be yes—but you must be able to balance that with other design and business considerations. From Software House Life: Digitalization in Architecture - How Do Modern Solutions Impact Client Collaboration? 🏢💡 We recently had the pleasure of working on an exceptionally interesting project for Ark Studio, led by the experienced and talented architect, Radosław Kowzan. The studio specializes in creating ambitious residential building projects that not only dazzle with their aesthetics but also with their functionality, offering space for hundreds of apartments. The task set before us was clear and precise – to build a system that would improve communication between the studio and its clients. The goal was to allow clients access to current information and project documentation online, without the need for direct contact with the Ark Studio team.
