Major growth is in the pipeline for New South Wales' Visitor Economy and local tourism sector, supported by integral infrastructure such as Western Sydney Airport and the new Metro service. “There was concern NSW was lagging just behind other states across a range of categories – like food and wine, cultural events and coastal getaways – and we need to do better to sell our unique experiences and put NSW in its rightful position as the nation’s visitor economy powerhouse." 🔗 Read more online! #NSW #newsouthwales #accommodationaustralia #sydney #hotelmagazine #hotelnz #nzhotel #hotelindustrynz #nzhotelindustry #tourismnz #tourismindustrynz #boutiquehotels #travel #travelnz #nztravel #hoteliers #hoteldesign

Independent small businesses are vital to the visitor economy in Mid Wales. “Visitors don’t come to Mid Wales for chain stores, they come for our independent shops, family run cafes and the authenticity that makes Mid Wales so unique.” “By connecting tourism and town centre businesses, the IMI Wales platform ensures visitors can discover and support our towns. With thousands of potential customers staying in caravan parks, hotels and other accommodations across the region, we need to let them know our towns are open for business.” Zoe Hawkins, Chief Executive, Mid Wales Tourism / MWT Cymru

The points raised by Lucy George, of the Welbeck Hotel & Apartments, highlight an important issue for the Isle of Man’s tourism industry. While the introduction of a Travelodge in Villiers Square could attract more visitors, there’s a real risk that smaller, family-run businesses, which contribute so much to the island's unique character, could be left without adequate support. Visit Isle of Man has recognised that connectivity costs and availability are key barriers to growing the visitor economy. Their support for changes at the Steam Packet Company is encouraging, but it’s vital that these improvements go beyond words and deliver real benefits for local businesses. It’s important to strike a balance between encouraging new developments and protecting the interests of established hotels. A more collaborative approach between government, large operators, and small, independent businesses could ensure the entire sector thrives, without losing the charm and individuality that makes the Isle of Man so special. https://lnkd.in/eVN_h3cX

The Dominican Republic anticipates receiving 11.5 million visitors through air and sea by the end of 2024. - Having successfully achieved their target of 10 million visitors by the end of 2023, they are well-positioned to reach their ambitious goal of 15 million visitors annually by 2030. However, there is a pressing need for additional hotel accommodations and investment to facilitate this growth. The tourism sector in the Dominican Republic is thriving, making it an opportune moment for investors to engage in this rapidly expanding industry, particularly given the attractive 15-year tax incentive. #dominicanrepublic #puertoplata #hospitality #holiday #tourist #tourism #resorts #hotel ***I have off-market hotel assets for sale in the Dominican Republic, PM ...*** https://lnkd.in/eqn-fJdD #hotelinvestment #InvestmentOpportunity #LuxuryResort #hotelforsale #resortforsale #propertysquarellc #propertysquaresrl #FranckRobert #caribbean #RealEstate #luxuryrealestate
