World PR Day Reflection. As we reflect on "The Future of Public Relations in a Changing World" as the theme for this year's World PR Day today, the perfect time is presented for us to consider the various distinct ways in which we can evolve and grow our personal brands to meet the frequent change in trends. It has become necessary for us as individuals to develop strategies that will enable us adapt to the rapid change in trends in our daily lives and in the PR industry, lest we are left behind. However, it is with much importance that we identify things that work best for us individually so we do not end up following the crowd and drift from our personal purpose. In our quest to remain relevant, it is of importance that we do not lose focus of what best works for us individually. It worked for someone does not mean it will work for you too. It may be the same trend but blend it with your personal unique touch and watch it work magic for you. I hope we discover our individual paths that will blend our personal uniqueness, visions purpose and values together for us to flourish and stand the test of time #WorldPRDay #HerJourneyToEvolve #SemesterProject #PRWithMarketing

We fancy ourselves good PR pros, but it takes work to get there. Here are 3 things we do that help us do our job better (and think every agency should too!): 1. We read A LOT. We want to know what’s being written about our clients’ industries so we know where they fit into the conversation. 2. We talk to each other. Every day at Indicate Media starts with a conversation and we do our best work when we are collaborating. 3. We ask questions. If we don’t understand what our clients do, its impossible to tell their story, so we dedicate time to making sure we understand technology from top to bottom. If we don’t know, we’ll always ask.

Happy World PR Day! Yesterday, the world celebrated PR Day 2024. This noble profession has played a pivotal role in remodeling the world into a better place. Through effective communication and strategic planning, PR has promoted global unity and fostered a strong economic environment for businesses. However, it is disheartening to see some individuals mislabel certain content, especially politically biased material, as PR when it is actually paid propaganda. This we must fight. PR is not a one way asymmetrical propaganda. Public Relations is fundamentally about truth, not lies. PR is vital for addressing human challenges and promoting human development and capacity building. It helps bridge gaps, create understanding, and build relationships that drive progress and innovation. Let's always strive to embody the true principles of PR—transparency, integrity, truth and accountability. Once again, Happy World PR Day! #PRDay #WorldPRDay #PublicRelations #MarketingCommunications #Communications #Marketing

I wake up every day to a small but mighty miracle on LinkedIn: the community of PR professionals who have chosen to connect with me. It's humbling, exciting, and frankly, a little intimidating. Because PR is not just about press releases and media placements—it's about trust, narratives, and making voices heard. Here’s what I’ve learned from engaging with this incredible network of PR pros: ▶ Storytelling is everything. The best PR professionals don't just share facts; they craft narratives that connect on a human level. ▶ Relationships matter more than pitches. A cold email may open a door, but it’s the consistent effort in building trust that keeps it open. ▶ Adaptability is key. PR pros thrive on unpredictability. A crisis today could be tomorrow’s opportunity—if approached with clarity and creativity. But the most beautiful insight of all? PR pros understand that every brand has a unique story, and it’s their job to ensure that story finds its audience. To everyone in my LinkedIn network who's in PR: thank you. You inspire me with your resilience, your innovation, and your relentless commitment to amplifying voices. Let’s continue learning from one another. Together, we can create stories that matter. #PRLife #Communications #Gratitude #LearningTogether #Networking

Today is #WorldPRDay! I join the world to celebrate every practitioner. Public Relations play a pivotal role in shaping narratives, building trust, and fostering meaningful connections. But it's amazing how technology has altered and still affects public relations today. Many of the tools and software available for practitioners today were not even conceivable barely a decade ago when I started practicing. In this rapidly evolving world, there is a need for PR practitioners to be dynamic and adaptable to change. We must be ready to leverage new technologies and be innovative in our approach to the practice. Cheers to all the PR professionals making a difference every day! #WorldPRDay #PRinAChangingWorld #PublicRelations #Communications #Innovation #Adaptability

On July 16th, we celebrated World PR Day — an occasion to mark the changing nature of public relations, where reputation is paramount. Coincidentally, I was born on this day, sharing it with the celebration of World PR Day. Unlike Ivy Lee, a pioneer in PR, I strive to bring a fresh perspective to the industry. Currently, the global PR market is valued at $106.93-billion, and it’s only expected to grow — reaching a projected $144.28-billion by 2028. With the constantly changing, dynamic nature of PR, where the future will be increasingly digitized, reputation matters. PR is crucial for many aspects of society — from managing public crises and educating the public on health to averting potential disasters. As we move forward, it's vital to adapt and innovate our strategies to ensure the sustained growth and relevance of PR. #WorldPRDay #PR #PRmanagement
