Presenting Dua Khalid’s Design for a Furniture Corporate Office as part of 2nd Year Architecture Studio. The project aims to encapsulate the experience and connectivity to nature to create an environment where the user feels passion for their work and connected to their surroundings. The form revolves around the concept of modularity and joinery. The concept takes inspiration from play of voids used as a module in contemporary furniture design and the design of a whole set using the same module. A module was designed and repeated with the method of the head lap joinery technique (head lap joinery). The concept of shelving in the fenestrations with extended louvers is used as a passive technique to avoid heating up of the building due to direct sunlight since these sides will be facing the sun the most. These concepts are visible in plan-to-elevation relationships. The facades and roof are green.
