NDC Porto: A Digest of Inspiration Attending #NDCPORTO a few weeks ago was truly inspiring. The event was a treasure trove of insights, especially with the exciting announcements about .NET 9 and C# 13. Here are some key takeaways that I believe are worth sharing with fellow software developers: Embracing AI in Software Development I understand that AI can be a daunting concept for many, and some might even be skeptical about its impact. However, it’s important to recognize that innovation doesn’t necessarily lead to job losses. On the contrary, it often paves the way for new opportunities. In his talk on “The Next Decade of Software Development”, Richard Campbell emphasized this point. He shared a vision where software development becomes more accessible and efficient. Personally, I’ve already witnessed this transformation in my daily work with GitHub Copilot, which has boosted my productivity by 20%. So, to everyone out there, don’t fear that humans will become obsolete. Instead, view this as a chance to achieve more with less effort. Embrace the change and let’s move forward together.
