As part of Dallas County Promise, we're doubling down on our commitment to building pathways to thriving-wage careers for all of Dallas County. Thanks to a landmark $60M multi-year investment from the O'Donnell Foundation directed to Dallas College and our partners at The Commit Partnership, Dallas College Foundation will be supporting the Promise scholarship program while broadening tuition and other forms of support to additional groups of students, including returning adult students, parents of Promise students, and students engaging in workforce training programs. Portland State has been awarded $1.8 million for two workforce development and training projects that will strengthen career pathways for Native students and Tribal communities in the high-demand fields of healthcare and technology. As someone who is usually up and about fairly early each day, I've noticed that the perennial shift into brighter mornings is definitely upon us.
