🎃👻 Happy Halloween from Volunteers in Medicine!🎃👻 As you gear up for a spooktacular night, keep these safety tips in mind to ensure a frightfully fun and safe evening for the whole family: 1. Costume Caution: Choose bright colors or add reflective tape to costumes for visibility. Don’t forget comfy shoes for all that trick-or-treating! 2. Buddy Up: Always stick together! Kids should be accompanied by an adult or a group of friends while out and about. 3. Road Ready: Cross streets at corners and look both ways. Make sure to watch for cars—they might be scared, too! 🚗💨 4. Candy Check: Inspect treats before munching. If it’s not sealed, toss it out! 5. Pumpkin Safety: Use battery-operated candles for your jack-o'-lanterns to avoid fire hazards. Have a boo-tiful Halloween filled with laughter and fun! 🕷️🍬 #HalloweenSafety #SpooktacularFun #VIMjax

Over the weekend, while walking past Halloween decorations – skeletons, cobwebs, and pumpkins – I was reminded of just how brief life can be. But instead of taking this as a cue to squeeze in more, what if we saw it as an invitation to do less, yet with intention? In healthcare, it’s easy to get swept up in the constant "busyness" and endless to-do lists. But true productivity doesn’t have to mean filling every hour. Sometimes, stepping back to focus on what truly matters can be far more fulfilling. As you spot Halloween decorations this week, I invite you to consider: 🎃 What can you let go of? 🎃 Where can you make room for more joy and connection? #IntentionalLiving #HealthcareSelfcare #ThriveNotSurvive #HealthyBoundaries #JoyInMedicine
