The biggest mistake sellers make? Selling. But today's customers don't want to be sold. They want to be helped. In fact, a customer's first impression of you is based on whether or not they feel like you're genuinely trying to help them. How can you help? 1) Listen to them 2) Empathize with them 3) Educate them When you help them, you’ll build a relationship of trust. You’ll be appreciated, and you’ll be sought out, too. So, stop selling and start helping. Remember, your customer doesn't care about what you're selling. They care about how you can help them solve their problem.

Go personal! Rather than delivering a one-size-fits-all presentation, ask questions to understand your prospect's specific needs, desires, and pain points. Tailor your solution accordingly. Customers don’t buy products for their features; they buy for the benefits those features bring. It's important to highlight how a product solves the customer’s problem. The best advice you’ll read today: “People don’t like to be sold to” is one of the biggest lies out there. If you’re solving a real problem for the right person, they want to be sold to. I can’t even count how many times someone offered a solution to a problem I had, and I didn’t hesitate to buy. If selling feels “salesy” to you, it’s usually because: ▪️You’re not confident in what you’re offering. ▪️You’re trying to sell to the wrong people.
