What have we learned delivering 2,000 global projects? ✅The full risk wasn't properly addressed when you purchased that shiny “as a service” product. Catch complexity and deal with it! 💻 What have we learned delivering assessments across industries? (ISO, CMMC, SOC, etc.) ✅The best solution means nothing if poor policies and lax policy enforcement rules. Only automate after proper definitions and processes are in place, tested, and governed. 💻 What have we learned presenting hundreds of tabletop exercises? ✅Winners deliver the intended service to their business partners no matter what. It's called resilience. 💻 What have we learned looking to leverage all the revenue enablement AI has to offer? ✅AI prompts are a new language. The updated Welsh guidance on setting 30mph as an isolated exception to the default 20mph seems to model the Munich policy (BMW owners take note) where higher than 30km/h is only permitted if there are segregated cycle lanes and pedestrian protection. tps://bit.ly/4d7QpzY

We need to talk about #plannedobsolescence and #righttorepair. 3 days ago, my smartphone stopped charging due to a worn out charging port. It was only 4 years old and had no other issues. After reading online how to fix the issue, and cleaning the port with a small brush and compressed air, the back of the phone fell off due to the cheap glue used to hold the $800 phone together. Due to the high cost of #repair, it was cheaper to replace the still functioning phone. We as a society may not think twice about this, but these same #subscription-based and planned obsolescence models are creeping into other previously #repairable and expensive #consumergoods like #washingmachines, #refrigerators, and now #cars. This business model creeping into the #autoindustry is the most unsettling. For years, the ability to purchase #aftermarket parts and take an #automobile to 3rd party #repairshops has helped to reduce the #costofrepair and #maintenance. I just had to take my reliable 2006 Honda CRV into a repair shop for 2 new tires, an oil pan, and a leaking head gasket. While this major overhaul will cost over $1000, I shudder to think what this might cost to fix if the business practice of #forcedupdates, subscriptions, planned obsolescence, lack of aftermarket parts and forcing the consumer to only be able to take their vehicle to a Honda dealership would be. Imagine the #waste if cars are made too expensive to fix after 30,000 miles of use. #Access to #transportation is essential to #economicmobility and #opportunity.

Don't let automobile manufacturers treat cars like Apple treats old iPhones, discontinuing product support and limiting access to spare parts, repair manuals, and specifications for replacement parts which allow 3rd party manufacturers to make quality replacement parts. Vehicle prices are still elevated post-pandemic, pricing many people out of the market for new or used cars. Planned obsolescence will only exacerbate these trends, limiting the supply of used but mechanically sound cars through arbitrary cutoff dates for ending software and operating system support as well as limiting repair options. Access to affordable and reliable transportation promotes economic mobility and opportunities, fostering economic growth.

Wise Words from a Wise Shell Even turtles know - slow and steady wins the race, especially on the highway! This little guy's got the right idea, using the crosswalk safely. Safety isn't a race, it's a journey. Let's all share the road responsibly. Look out for pedestrians and fellow drivers, and remember, slow and steady (especially for turtles!) is the key. #RoadSafety #CrosswalkKing #SlowAndSteady #roadsafetyawareness #roadsafetymatters #roadsafetyfirst #highwaysafety
