Reclamation is proud to celebrate over 37 years of a successful partnership with Taiwan's Water Resources Agency. This collaboration, formalized through a cooperative agreement, exemplifies the strong unofficial relationship between the United States and Taiwan, characterized by significant cultural, commercial, and technical exchanges. Since becoming the designated technical representative of the American Institute of Taiwan in 1987, Reclamation professionals have provided invaluable technical assistance and training in critical areas such as dam safety, risk analysis and advanced water resource modeling. Our ongoing efforts, including the active appendices to our original agreement, have allowed us to address various water resource challenges effectively. Annual meetings between WRA and Reclamation serve as a platform for progress, enabling us to review achievements and set ambitious goals for the future. The exchange of knowledge and data has not only enhanced WRA's capabilities but has also enriched Reclamation's research and operational practices. Together, we are addressing the challenges posed by limited water resources and paving the way for innovative solutions. Here’s to continued success in our partnership!
