Healthcare providers should: 1) have a heightened suspicion for meningococcal disease, particularly among populations disproportionately affected by the current increase; 2) be aware that patients may present without symptoms typical of meningitis; 3) ensure that all people recommended for meningococcal vaccination, including people with HIV, are up to date for meningococcal vaccines. Cervical cancer remains a significant health concern in Nepal, with more that 2500 new cases and approx. 2000 deaths reported annually. Shockingly, only 3% of women aged 15-49 have undergone screening, despite available preventive measures. Human papillomavirus (HPV), specifically types 16 and 18, affects round about 7% of women at any given time. Raising awareness, expanding HPV vaccination, and improving screening programs are crucial to lessening the impact of cervical cancer in Nepal.
