Today marks my official 6-year anniversary with RS&H. As I reflect on this journey, I thought I would share why I'm here (and why I stay): 👷♂️ Our People. I get to work with some of the most talented people in this field. From our marketing team to technical staff, they make coming to work every day easy (and even fun). Collaborating with such dedicated professionals elevates my drive to succeed. 💲 Employee Ownership. We're 100% employee-owned and everyone has an opportunity to participate in equity ownership through our 401(k) plans and stock offerings. I have already seen returns on my investment, and I know that the work we do every day has a direct impact on my future. This sense of ownership drives us to achieve great things together! 📈 Career Growth. Professional development is more than just moving up a rung on the ladder. RS&H has provided me with countless opportunities to learn, grow, and advance my career. I've had the opportunity to attend two recent trainings: Crucial Conversations & 6 Practices for Leading A Team. Support and encouragement from my colleagues and mentors have been invaluable. Here's to many more years of success and growth! 🚀 #workanniversary #careergrowth #employeeownership #teamwork

Today I was honoured to be on a panel with Rhiannon Hopcroft as part of the PA Forum's CSR focus organised by Daniel Skermer and his CSR committee member Sarah James to talk about the work we do in terms of engaging our future generation of PAs. I hope that those attending were able to see that as PAs/EAs they can make a difference by engaging with schools and colleges to show their students that being a PA is a recognised career path - and a fulfilling one. Key takeaways: 💡Network within your company to find your enabler who will support your vision to showcase business support roles to attract the next generation of PAs! 💡identify your company's offering that will have a positive impact and attract those considering a career in administration, for example: 🌟 apprenticeships in business support 🌟 work-experience / summer placement opportunities 🌟mentoring /coaching programmes. 🌟career fayres. 💡 inspire the next generation by sharing your career journey. You have a story. 💡be your authentic self - our future generation need to know that they can work in a psychologically safe working environment. 💡demonstrate what career progression in administrative support looks like. 💡 engage with education providers to find out what their syllabus looks like for students - particularly AI. Next stop ... PA Forum School Engagement away day. 6 March. Follow PA Forum for more information.

Work Anniversaries: It's Time to Ditch the Boring Cake 🎂 We all know the drill – another year, another generic cake with the employee's name haphazardly piped on top. Yawn! 😴 Anniversaries deserve recognition that's as unique as the individuals celebrating them. Think about it: each year represents a journey of growth, challenges overcome, and contributions made. Shouldn't the way we celebrate reflect that? At Award Maven, we believe in making recognition meaningful and memorable. Here's how we're reimagining anniversary awards: Personalization: Move beyond years of service. Celebrate their story – their unique passions, quirks, and the impact they've made on your company. Beyond the Plaque: Think experiential rewards, custom-designed art pieces, or even a "choose your own adventure" award budget. Let them pick something they'll truly cherish. A Celebration, Not Just a Gift: Gather the team for a toast, a surprise lunch, or a heartfelt speech from leadership. Make it an experience to remember! Building a Legacy: Create awards that become treasured mementos of their journey with your company, something they'll proudly display for years to come. We're all ears! 👂 Share your most memorable anniversary award – or the worst one you've received! How do you make employee anniversaries unforgettable at your company? #anniversaryawards #employeerecognition #milestonecelebrations #awardmaven

Inspired by Karen McClymont's story of navigating the Zig Zag... At Tesco we've invited colleagues from the Tesco family to share their learning powers and help inspire others for National Learning at Work Week. National Learning at Work Week is all about embracing continuous learning, and Karen absolutely nailed it with her live session today. Her journey, with all its twists and turns (think exciting zig zags!), showcased the power of lifelong learning. It was truly inspiring to hear how she adapted her skillset, embraced new opportunities, and thrived in different career paths - all fuelled by a continuous hunger for knowledge. Here are some takeaways that resonated with me: 1️⃣ Challenge yourself daily: Make learning a daily habit. Explore new things, pick up a new skill, or simply read an article in an unfamiliar field. Every day is an opportunity to grow. 2️⃣ Embrace change: Don't fear the unknown! Change can be scary, but it's often the catalyst for our greatest professional (and personal) growth. 3️⃣ Own your career: Take charge of your professional development. Don't be afraid to try new things, step outside your comfort zone, and share the career you deserve. But remember, stay true to your values and prioritise your well-being (both mental and physical) throughout the ride. Huge thanks to Karen for leading by example. Karen really is an inspiration and has an amazing story to share. (If you're part of the Tesco team and would like to watch Karen's session, you can find the recording in our Learning at Work Week guide). #NationalLearningAtWorkWeek #Learningatworkweek #LAWW

Reached a 10-year milestone! This week, I'm celebrating my 10th work anniversary at The Health and Care Professions Council. Over the past decade, I've grown both personally and professionally, taking on numerous roles, building a network across the business and collaborating across departments towards shared goals and objectives. The organisation has also evolved considerably during this time, and I'm proud to work for an organisation that is clear about its purpose and values its people. 🤝 While there have been highs and lows, as is expected in business and life, I continue to be driven to serve HCPC for several reasons: ✔ HCPC's Purpose: I believe in the HCPC's mission and purpose, and I'm clear on how my role contributes to it. ✔ Leadership: I am fortunate to have been, and continue to be, led by a great leader Fatma Ali who is human-centric, charming and passionate, role models positive behaviours and encourages continuous learning and growth. I have total confidence in her and she entrusts in me. ✔ Opportunities: I've been given the chance to work and deliver on important pieces of work and seek opportunities for improvement and innovation, which has resulted in my efforts being valued and recognised. ✔ Autonomy: I've been entrusted with the autonomy to work on projects and initiatives that can bear fruit for months and years to come, such as our Beyond Barriers mentoring programme. ✔ My Team: I couldn't ask for a better team. We navigate challenges together as a cohesive unit and more importantly we focus on solutions, impact and value-add. ✔ Culture: Culture fit is as important, if not more so, than possessing the right skills for a job. ✔ Wellbeing and balance: Finding an organisation that values you, your wellbeing, and your work-life balance is critical to success. My job allows me to spark the fuel of human potential and catalyse change at the individual, team, and organisational levels. I couldn’t ask for more in a job as I love what I do 🌸 ☘ As I reflect on my ten years at the HCPC, an African proverb resonates: "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." This sentiment has encapsulated my experience and the value I place on collaboration, growth and collective progress. 🙌 #milestone #tenyears #workanniversary #workiversary #teamwork #leadership #culture #hcpc #achievement #recognition #purpose #worklifebalance #lifeatHCPC

Last week I celebrated my 2 year workiversary! 🎉 What an incredible whirlwind these past two years at Operatix/memoryBlue have been. Looking back, I feel so proud and grateful for the experiences, accomplishments, and amazing people I’ve had the chance to work with. Won't tag you all, you know who you are 😄🙌 Here are a few of the highlights: ✅ eNPS increased by 34% in just 7 months – all thanks to truly listening to our employees! ✅ Employee turnover decreased by 20%, while the average tenure of Sales Development Representatives increased by 5 months. ✅ Introduced listening tours to give employees a platform to share their thoughts and feel heard. ✅ Rolled out a global HRIS, HiBob, streamlining HR processes and saving over 3 weeks of admin annually in EMEA alone, while improving operational efficiency and accessibility across global teams. ✅ Worked with Harding Hub to revamp payroll and pension processes, creating NI savings that we reinvested into new benefits for the team. ✅ Transformed performance management with a cultural shift toward leading with empathy ✅ Helped improve our Glassdoor rating from 3.7 to 4.2 in EMEA. ✅ Reduced voluntary attrition from 23% to 17%. ✅ Fortunate to attend some incredible events hosted by the The Richmond Human Resources & L&D Forums, HiBob, and Reward Gateway. ✅ Been part of an amazing team, have loved watching Rachel McLaughlin thrive as she develops in HR. ✅ Most recently, led a global employee experience survey to gather insights across the employee lifecycle, which is shaping an exciting people experience strategy for 2025. It’s been an incredible couple of years full of growth, successes, and plenty of laughs! I continue to feel super inspired to make positive changes to the employee journey because, to be honest, we spend way too much time at work for it to be anything less than great! 💫 Here’s to the next two years – continuing to grow, learn, and laugh along the way! 💙
