Today marks my official 6-year anniversary with RS&H. As I reflect on this journey, I thought I would share why I'm here (and why I stay): 👷♂️ Our People. I get to work with some of the most talented people in this field. From our marketing team to technical staff, they make coming to work every day easy (and even fun). Collaborating with such dedicated professionals elevates my drive to succeed. 💲 Employee Ownership. We're 100% employee-owned and everyone has an opportunity to participate in equity ownership through our 401(k) plans and stock offerings. I have already seen returns on my investment, and I know that the work we do every day has a direct impact on my future. This sense of ownership drives us to achieve great things together! 📈 Career Growth. Professional development is more than just moving up a rung on the ladder. RS&H has provided me with countless opportunities to learn, grow, and advance my career. I've had the opportunity to attend two recent trainings: Crucial Conversations & 6 Practices for Leading A Team. Support and encouragement from my colleagues and mentors have been invaluable. Here's to many more years of success and growth! 🚀 #workanniversary #careergrowth #employeeownership #teamwork

Work Anniversaries: It's Time to Ditch the Boring Cake 🎂 We all know the drill – another year, another generic cake with the employee's name haphazardly piped on top. Yawn! 😴 Anniversaries deserve recognition that's as unique as the individuals celebrating them. Think about it: each year represents a journey of growth, challenges overcome, and contributions made. Shouldn't the way we celebrate reflect that? At Award Maven, we believe in making recognition meaningful and memorable. Here's how we're reimagining anniversary awards: Personalization: Move beyond years of service. Celebrate their story – their unique passions, quirks, and the impact they've made on your company. Beyond the Plaque: Think experiential rewards, custom-designed art pieces, or even a "choose your own adventure" award budget. Let them pick something they'll truly cherish. A Celebration, Not Just a Gift: Gather the team for a toast, a surprise lunch, or a heartfelt speech from leadership. Make it an experience to remember! Building a Legacy: Create awards that become treasured mementos of their journey with your company, something they'll proudly display for years to come. We're all ears! 👂 Share your most memorable anniversary award – or the worst one you've received! How do you make employee anniversaries unforgettable at your company? #anniversaryawards #employeerecognition #milestonecelebrations #awardmaven

🎓 Day 2 of Learning at Work Week! Today we wanted to share our #employeerecognition infographic. It's important to remember that our employees are all individuals. Some will love the limelight of formal award ceremonies and employee of the month celebrations. Other, more introverted colleagues might just prefer a quiet well done or personalised thank you note. ❓How do you want to be recognised? Don't forget, you can find hundreds more resources like this one on our 𝗣𝗮𝘆 & 𝗥𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆! #learningatworkweek #employeerecognition #humanresources #employeedevelopment

Reached a 10-year milestone! This week, I'm celebrating my 10th work anniversary at The Health and Care Professions Council. Over the past decade, I've grown both personally and professionally, taking on numerous roles, building a network across the business and collaborating across departments towards shared goals and objectives. The organisation has also evolved considerably during this time, and I'm proud to work for an organisation that is clear about its purpose and values its people. 🤝 While there have been highs and lows, as is expected in business and life, I continue to be driven to serve HCPC for several reasons: ✔ HCPC's Purpose: I believe in the HCPC's mission and purpose, and I'm clear on how my role contributes to it. ✔ Leadership: I am fortunate to have been, and continue to be, led by a great leader Fatma Ali who is human-centric, charming and passionate, role models positive behaviours and encourages continuous learning and growth. I have total confidence in her and she entrusts in me. ✔ Opportunities: I've been given the chance to work and deliver on important pieces of work and seek opportunities for improvement and innovation, which has resulted in my efforts being valued and recognised. ✔ Autonomy: I've been entrusted with the autonomy to work on projects and initiatives that can bear fruit for months and years to come, such as our Beyond Barriers mentoring programme. ✔ My Team: I couldn't ask for a better team. We navigate challenges together as a cohesive unit and more importantly we focus on solutions, impact and value-add. ✔ Culture: Culture fit is as important, if not more so, than possessing the right skills for a job. ✔ Wellbeing and balance: Finding an organisation that values you, your wellbeing, and your work-life balance is critical to success. My job allows me to spark the fuel of human potential and catalyse change at the individual, team, and organisational levels. I couldn’t ask for more in a job as I love what I do 🌸 ☘ As I reflect on my ten years at the HCPC, an African proverb resonates: "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." This sentiment has encapsulated my experience and the value I place on collaboration, growth and collective progress. 🙌 #milestone #tenyears #workanniversary #workiversary #teamwork #leadership #culture #hcpc #achievement #recognition #purpose #worklifebalance

Happy Friday LinkedIn family! As I reflect on the last few months, there has been so much change in my life. From becoming an empty nester to searching for the next stop in my career. How did I cope? I took a step back and took some time to get back to me. I started with my family, who is the center of everything for me. We'd experienced so much loss of loved ones over the last two years, I really wanted to be in the midst of them physically to know that they are doing ok. I eliminated negativity as much as I could from my personal space, and have been feeling great. I've travelled, and spent quite a bit of time thinking about life as 50 approaches in less than 3 months (yep, the year of 50!-Lets' Go!!). My promise to myself is to continue on this track, taking nothing for granted, and handling each moment with as much grace that I can muster. Life moves so fast, before you know so much time has flown by. In speaking to a recruiter about an opportunity, she asked how long I'd been in the HCM space? My answer shocked even me..26 years..right?! My first real job after graduating college was ADP in Parsippany, NJ. Starting out as an overflow operator, moving into Software support roles is where it all began. I then moved on to Ceridian, supporting their platform through Tier I then Tier II support roles, and after that I was referred to UKG (then Ultimate Software) where I spent almost 15 amazing years. I started out in support then moved into a Senior, then Lead support position within my first 5 years of tenure. For the last 10 years of my tenure, I worked a dream role..owning and running the Rising Stars program for the Atlanta location (in short, the Rising Star Program was a training program that prepared trainees for support roles within the business). Our program was amazing, we trained about 150-200 participants annually over 10 years with a 91% overall graduation success rate, 93% hiring manager satisfaction, and 95% of graduates reaching productivity goals within 60 days of graduating. We even won the ATD "Excellence in Practice" award in 2016! As my role evolved even more, I spent the last 6 years leading people, program managers and creating learning experiences for customers, and cross-functional teams. I thrived in delivering high-impact learning experiences and can do the same for any organization today. I've met so many amazing people along my journey and cannot wait to meet/mentor even more. That's my MQ story....what's your MQ story that you'd like to share? I'd love to hear it, and prospective recruiters/employers may want to hear also..Have an amazing weekend!

This month, we celebrate a whole crew of amazing associates who've dedicated their skills to making Clark Schaefer Strategic HR the powerhouse it is. 💙 Donata Lipps, HR Business Advisor, is celebrating her third year with Clark Schaefer Strategic HR! Q: What makes your work day exciting? A: I love working with all my co-workers, and each day brings a new opportunity to grow and learn. Q: What could you give a 30-minute presentation about with no advance preparation? A: Pickleball, cornhole, or raising chickens. Q: What's one thing you've learned from your coworkers that you're grateful for? A: I’ve learned that it's possible to work hard AND play hard. Being part of a team that is dedicated to achieving our goals while also taking time to celebrate successes, whether big or small, has been truly rewarding. Q: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A: A professional dog walker… or any type of pro athlete. Q: How many different states have you lived in? A: With the biggest cup of coffee imaginable. Q: What’s your favorite inspirational quote? A: “Choose to be kind over being right, and you’ll be right every time.” — Richard Carlson, author of "Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff — and It’s All Small Stuff" Q: How do you wind down after work? A: Taking a moment in my driveway before entering the house to reflect on both the positives and negatives of the day. I believe it's important to celebrate even the smallest victories and to also allow myself time to process any negatives and find ways to learn from them. This helps me prevent the negatives from lingering into the next day. Also, any day that I can go play Pickleball after work is a huge plus in my book! Q: What job would you be terrible at? A: Anything that involves public speaking. A special thanks to those who opted out of being featured on social media for their work anniversary but are an incredible part of our crew: Gilbert Obeng (2 years), Anne England (2 years), and Zeina Kowalski (2 years). #WorkAnniversary #EmployeeRecognition #HappyAnniversary

Hosting a benefits fair is more than just an informational event; it’s a strategic tool that can lead to a happier, healthier workplace. Thanks to HR Manager Nicol Smith for hosting our most recent Fair. If you’ve hosted or are planning to host a benefits fair, what are your top tips or questions? Here’s a quick guide on how to do it effectively so that it meets your organization's objectives: Set Clear Objectives: Understand what you want to achieve. Is it to educate employees about new or existing benefits, enhance enrollment numbers, or provide one-on-one support? Choose the Right Time and Place: Align the fair with peak interest times, such as just before annual enrollment periods. Engage Reliable Vendors: Partner with benefits providers who are not only knowledgeable but also passionate about educating and assisting your employees. Encourage vendors to bring swag! Promote Effectively: Use emails, newsletter posts, and flyers to create buzz. Ensure your communication is clear and enticing. Interactive and Engaging Content: Include Q&A sessions, one-on-one consulting, and raffle prizes to make the fair engaging and informative. Follow Up: Post-event surveys can gather feedback and measure impact, helping you refine future events. #Teamwork #2024 #ThankYou #NonProfitOrganization #COO
