The UAE job market is diverse and dynamic, driven by sectors such as finance, oil and gas, technology, real estate, and tourism. Dubai and Abu Dhabi, in particular, are hubs for job seekers due to their booming economies and high demand for skilled professionals. Here are some key features of the UAE job market: 1. Tax-Free Income: One of the most attractive features of working in the UAE is that personal income is tax-free, which means higher take-home pay for employees. 2. High Demand for Skilled Professionals: Sectors like finance, healthcare, technology, construction, and hospitality are actively seeking skilled professionals. The government is also investing in innovation and technology, opening opportunities in fintech, AI, and renewable energy. 3. Banking and Finance: The banking sector is highly competitive, with both local and international banks operating in the region. Roles in compliance, risk management, and digital banking are growing alongside traditional positions like sales and relationship management. 4. Expats Dominate the Workforce: The majority of the workforce in the UAE consists of expatriates. English is the primary language used in business, but knowing Arabic can be beneficial. 5. Work Permits and Sponsorship: Employers usually sponsor work visas for foreign workers. You need a valid work permit and residency visa to work legally, and the process is typically handled by the employer. 6. Competitive Salaries and Benefits: Salaries in the UAE are competitive, and many employers offer benefits like housing allowances, health insurance, and annual airfare to your home country. 7. Networking is Crucial: Building a strong professional network, both in-person and through platforms like LinkedIn, is important for finding opportunities in the UAE job market. 8. Emiratization: The UAE government is promoting "Emiratization," which prioritizes hiring Emirati citizens in key sectors. However, there are still many opportunities for expats, especially in specialized roles. 9. Work-Life Balance: The UAE has a strong work ethic, with working hours often longer than in some Western countries, but there is a growing emphasis on work-life balance, especially in multinational companies. 10. Diverse Workplace: The UAE is home to a highly multicultural workforce, and companies often encourage diversity and inclusion as part of their workplace culture. It's important to stay updated on market trends and job openings through recruitment agencies and job boards like LinkedIn, GulfTalent, and Bayt etc.

There are more than 240,000 Brits living in Dubai. That’s a lot of people having to deal with challenges that non-expats just don’t face… 1. How long will I work overseas? One big attraction for moving out to Dubai (or the Middle East generally, or South Africa, say) is that you might end up earning more than you did in the UK, even doing the same job. Ok, the cost of living can be pretty high, but you benefit from attractive tax advantages. This could be a real opportunity to rapidly accumulate your wealth. But, if you think you’re only going to be abroad for a short time, it can be tempting to enjoy an inflated salary a little too much. If you do, you might: 💰 Get used to a standard of living you might not be able to maintain in the UK 💰 Not save any/enough money to reach your medium- to long-term goals Of course, things can always change, but be as realistic as you can about how much time you’re going to be away from the UK 👍

UAE just ranked 18th globally for highest gross monthly salary. 🤩 … and the HIGHEST in GCC! In the UAE, workers benefit in bigger monthly paychecks compared to their counterparts in the GCC and over 170 other countries including: France, New Zealand, Spain, Austria, Hong Kong and Japan. So, what does this do for the economy? 💸 Greater influx of high net worth individuals relocating to Dubai. 📈Higher number of top global talent coming to work in Dubai, also resulting in an increase in population. 🏠 Increased demand for housing to accommodate the changes in population. 🧱 New luxury and affordable developments to accommodate both investors and expats. 🏡 Urban planning and more infrastructure investment to manage this population growth successfully by focusing on more sustainable projects. All these points result in one main thing: increasing the stability of the property market! Who is that good for? Buyers, sellers, investors and basically anyone involved in a real estate transaction! So, if you’re looking to move to one of the biggest markets in the world send your CV on: aimee@livingascot.com 💌 #DubaiRealEstate #RealEstateDubai #RealEstate #DubaiProperty #DubaiLife #Recruiting #Recruitment #hiringnow #RecruitingDubai
