Sometimes, it’s all about satisfying basic needs—whether in music or business. Take this line from Future’s latest release "Mixtape Pluto": “Inhalin’ dirty rackies (Achoo), that sht there make me sneeze (Oh, you slime)” The way Big Pluto delivers achoo-ing from dirty/dusty money he made is a simple yet funny punchline :)) That's it, no complex meaning, no deep metaphors, just a straight-up flex of wealth. And guess what? The album dominated the Apple Music charts, occupying the entire top 10 with solo tracks! 🔥 It’s a reminder that potential listeners (and customers) aren’t always looking for complexity. They want something simple yet satisfying—whether it’s music or the products and services we offer. And they’re ready to pay for that. https://lnkd.in/du_V72BF #Future #PlutoMixtape #MusicBusiness #SimplicitySells #WealthFlex #AppleMusic #EntertainmentIndustry #CustomerSatisfaction

Literally the best focus strategy is to use a music loop. Take something and put it on an infinite (30-45 minutes at a time) loop. Preferably something positive-ish. Super simple: 1. Find something on YouTube instrumental (no lyrics). 2. Open audacity, set microphone next to speaker, record it. 3. When it finishes-- copy and past it a bunch of times until it's 45 minutes about in length. 4. Export it to .wav and play in your media player. 5. Work in sprints. Every time it finishes, do some push ups or stretches. Live long happy life : ). 6. Unless you have really, super cool co-workers-- It's probably a lot easier to do this when you work from home or at least have a private office where you can shut the door. Downward dog stretches are just too hard to pull off in front of people unless you are a confidence monster. Not to mention someone will probably fantasize about slapping you when they heard the same loop for 5 days straight. I change the loop once a month or less. It just becomes hypnotizing. Here's the loop I've been using for the past month. https://lnkd.in/gGjDd3jj

Text-based prompts for generative music are a current research interest of mine. Specifically, I am interested in the way they reflect how we think about or describe music (affect, genre, era, etc.), but also because they allow me to explore current blindspots in generative models, particularly when it comes to their capacity to merge and synthesize (generate) diverse genres and instruments. To extend this research to my creative practice, I wrote a beat tape of sorts earlier this year based on editing and expanding output from MusicGen and MusicFX. Check it out on all major streaming platforms (I am trying out LANDR’s distribution service): https://lnkd.in/gi_BCZrs

You need better work music. When I can work remotely or with headphones in, I turn on music. Different genres for different projects. If music doesn't distract you, then I have 3 suggestions you have to try this week, and I'd love to not only hear what you think of these, but what your top 3 suggestions would be. 1. Ariel Posen, both Mile End albums. > 1 guitar, 1 take, unique and stunning. > This is my go-to when writing or diving into deep work > https://lnkd.in/gkaaPqcr 2. Hammock, every freaking album (Oblivion Hymns is my fav) > mostly ambient electric guitar and orchestral soundscapes > I try making similar guitar sounds so these guys are my idols > https://lnkd.in/gWkBimu3 3. Andrew Belle, just click "shuffle" on his entire collection > if you can handle lyrics while working, this guy JAMS > killer beats, truly spectacular hooks, and the guitars!! > https://lnkd.in/gzphsjza I could go on and on. But I don't want to overwhelm you with the awesomeness, so sit in these for a while and thank me later. Cheers to productivity and deep focus. #productivity #deepwork #youneedbettermusic
