Securing Your Legacy: How NFA Gun Trusts Protect Your Firearms and Beneficiaries When you pass, all individually owned firearms become part of your probate estate. Under probate proceedings, you must put on public record how your would like the estate to handle your NFA weapon. The weapon must either be passed to an heir or transferred under your will. Under the NFA Gun Trust, it is not required to place your firearm on public record. This protects your beneficiaries who will receive a guidance on how to legally transfer the weapon. Children are specifically protected under the NFA Gun Trust and will not receive the weapon if residing in an area where NFA firearms are illegal to possess. In the event that you would like them to possess your firearm after their death, the NFA Gun Trust will guide them in the responsibilities of NFA firearm ownership. https://lnkd.in/ecb2k_Em

Take California for instance. The state has some of the most stringent gun laws, thanks to the insights shared by a Bay Area gun crimes lawyer. 🔫Mexico is suing U.S. gun-makers for arming its gangs The government of Mexico is suing U.S. gun-makers for their role in facilitating cross-border gun trafficking that has supercharged violent crime in Mexico. The lawsuit seeks USD 10 billion in damages and a court order to force the companies named in the lawsuit — including Smith & Wesson, Colt, Glock, Beretta, and Ruger — to change the way they do business. In January, a federal appeals court in Boston, Massachusetts decided that the industry’s immunity shield, which so far has protected gun-makers from civil liability, does not apply to Mexico’s lawsuit. As a legal scholar who has analyzed lawsuits against the gun industry for more than 25 years, I believe this decision to allow Mexico’s lawsuit to proceed could be a game changer. The website also provides a platform for the ERPO RC to highlight emerging and promising practices in successful ERPO implementation and connect states and localities to innovative strategies to reduce gun violence and save lives.” If you are a threat to yourself and or to your community due to mental illness, a judge can temporarily provide an injunction to remove the weapon(s). This is true only in states with laws that remove access to firearms arms. If you are going though a divorce and you threaten your wife and children a judge can temporarily confiscate your weapons you used to threaten your family. Seems like the perfect law to reduce domestic violence. It’s temporary till you return to sanity

𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐀 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐮𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞.  𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫𝐬 ... 𝐥𝐞𝐭 '𝐞𝐦 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐢𝐭! Anyone who is killed in an active shooter event (ASE) — 𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐀 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐬 have the stain of their blood on their hands. 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐬 have resisted proposals such as the one for universal background checks for gun buyers, despite remarkably broad support from the public for such plans — support that can reach up to 90 percent nationwide in some cases. The reality is that that 90 percent figure probably includes some Republicans who are open to new laws but would not clamor for them or punish a lawmaker for failing to back them, and the 10 percent opposed reflect the sentiments of the G.O.P. base, which decides primary contests and is zealous in its devotion to gun rights. While we're at it, 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐬 also own the issue at the border (they can try to pin it on President Joe Biden as best as they'd like) ... but 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘 were the ones who balked at reaching a bi-partisan agreement — that was pretty much 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑 plan in the beginning — ONLY because Defendant Trump said to do so. Doing this, following Trump's directive — it’s a lot easier than doing the hard work of legislating. Let's set the record straight and keep setting it straight.
