Rewin successfully Tackles Complex Fiber Blends At Rewin we have now successfully recovered polyester from a challenging three-fiber blend that includes anti-static fibers, previously deemed too complex for effective recycling. This innovative feat was made possible through our collaboration with, ELIS, a leader in sustainable textile practices that provided us with the material for testing. Key Highlights: ♻ Successfully recycled a blend of 48% polyester, 48% cotton, and 4% anti-static fibers. ♻ Overcame significant challenges associated with handling anti-static fibers, paving the way for new recycling possibilities. ♻ Expanded our capabilities to include professional uniforms and protective clothing, which often incorporate these specialized fibers. This milestone builds on Rewins established expertise in recycling mixed textiles of all colors and compositions. By tackling these complex blends, we're opening new possibilities for recycling specialized industrial textiles and workwear. And also, pave way for a fully circular textile industry. - This advancement could potentially revolutionize how we handle end-of-life textiles, says Linda Nilsson, marketing manager at Elis. 🔗For more details on this success, visit Advancing Textile Recycling: https://lnkd.in/dqM7WGNW on our website. #TextileRecycling #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #Innovation
