The latest from JIBP examines the impact of intergovernmental organizations (IGOs) on entrepreneurial activities across different countries. The study concludes that IGO memberships enhance opportunities for entrepreneurship, promoting formal activities while discouraging informal ones. The work by Elizabeth M. Moore, Kristin Brandl, and Luis Alfonso Dau explores how IGOs like the World Trade Organization and the United Nations influence entrepreneurship through national institutional ecologies. By analyzing data from 68 countries, the authors found that IGOs play a significant role in shaping entrepreneurial environments. One key outcome is that IGOs tend to foster formal entrepreneurship, which can lead to more stable economic growth. Conversely, they discourage informal entrepreneurship, which often lacks regulatory oversight and can be less beneficial for long-term development. View the full paper here: https://lnkd.in/eqwdiWVS

New project ahead, about raising funds for under-represented entrepreneurs! This is the official page of the MOSAIC Project for inclusive investing for founders, co-funded by the European Union. The project is a partnership between FEM-START, Le LABA, SINGA, Roma Entrepreneurship Development Initiative, Momentum Educate + Innovate, thevisionworks - tvw GmbH, and the European E-Learning Institute! The MOSAIC project is designed to address specific needs in the context of Entrepreneurship Education for underrepresented founders and society in Europe. It aims to bridge the significant gap that exists in effectively educating underrepresented founders, a gap that is primarily due to a lack of specialised knowledge, financial resources, and capacity. Educators require sensitization and resources to provide relevant and impactful education. Additionally, the entire entrepreneurial ecosystem needs to adapt to address these shortcomings, ensuring that education is in step with the needs and challenges of the current times.
