The First Young E3 Final Arrives in Latin America! Thanks to a partnership between universities and government entities in Argentina, the Young E3 competition reaches its grand finale in Latin America. The finalist teams will compete for cash prizes awarded to the top three projects in each category: Under 20 and Under 25. Throughout various stages, young entrepreneurs have worked intensively on their projects through both in-person and virtual activities. The process began with idea generation and validation, followed by business model creation, prototyping, and pitch rehearsals, culminating in the presentation of their proposals. From over 200 projects that started in the competition, 30 have reached the semifinal stage and will participate in an intensive Bootcamp, where the teams that will present their ideas at the Idea Fair will be selected. From there, the top 15 teams from the bootcamp will be chosen to deliver a three-minute pitch before a panel of judges, including representatives from participating universities, government education officials, renowned personalities from the entrepreneurial ecosystem and Alejandro Malgor of Young E3. The panel will then select the three winning teams in each category. #Competition #Entrepreneurs #University #Ideas #Creation #Innovation

A Playground for Impact: Key Takeaways from the 3E Conference in Amsterdam Last week, Amsterdam hosted the innovative 3E Conference, themed "Entrepreneurship Education – a playground for impact." This annual event has set a new standard for entrepreneurship conferences by focusing on questions and challenges instead of pre-packaged solutions and research presentations. It brought together educators, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to discuss the latest in enterprise education. Entrepreneurship Education (EE) has matured significantly in theory and practice over the years, yet it remains playful and experimental. The 3E Conference emphasized this dynamic, encouraging participants to explore innovative actions and experimentation. This approach fostered creativity, interaction, and mutual learning to address various challenges and contexts. The conference highlighted the importance of steering EE towards promoting social development, mental and physical wellbeing, and sustainability. It stressed the need for innovation, creativity, and responsible risk-taking while focusing on what students want and need to learn. This year’s event featured two calls: one for research papers and one for practitioner development workshops. The eleventh edition showcased 30 practitioner workshops and 60 research papers from over 200 submissions, reflecting the vibrant and engaged community. I was very humbled to be attending and presenting my paper "How do children experience entrepreneurial education?" since I was one of the only attendees not having or being enrolled in a PhD. As someone who thrives at the intersection of academia and practical application, attending the 3E Conference was a remarkable experience. It provided invaluable insights into where research stands compared to teaching entrepreneurial education. The opportunity to network with fellow professionals in this field was enriching, offering a deeper understanding of the current landscape and future directions of EE. In the coming weeks, I look forward to sharing the insights and key takeaways from this prestigious conference. Stay tuned for more on the innovative ideas and discussions that emerged from this dynamic playground for impact. #3econference #Amsterdam #entrepreneurialeducation #3E2024
