Start-up founders have a lot to be thankful for. The near misses that made all the difference. 1️⃣ The product demo that miraculously didn’t crash. 2️⃣ The pitch where you almost blanked but didn’t. 3️⃣ The angry email you didn’t send. 4️⃣ The bug a beta tester laughed off. 5️⃣ The investor who still likes your posts. 6️⃣ The extra pivot you didn’t pursue. 7️⃣ The competitor who exited - stage left. 8️⃣ The invoice that got paid - just in time. 9️⃣ The "temporary" workaround that somehow still works. 🔟 The stress that’s worth it (most days). Because in start-ups, even the small wins. Or close calls. Are worth celebrating. Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 #startups #founders #thanksgiving

Oh, the best part about working in a startup? It's like being on a rollercoaster with your buddies! You all suffer through the ups and downs together, but you also get to celebrate those small victories. To all startup founders , it's easy to get caught up in chasing big goals and milestones. But today, I want all of us to celebrate the small victories that often go unnoticed—the first recognition for our brand, our initial revenue (no matter how modest), the signing of our first employee certificate, launching our first live website, and more. These moments are not just milestones; they are cherished memories that remind us of our journey and the responsibilities we've taken on. Let's take a moment to celebrate these achievements and then get back to the exciting work ahead. #StartupLife #smallMilestones #CelebrateSmallSuccess

As an angel investor, what excites you about a startup? 📈 That's the question I asked Ben Lang. Ben is one of the first 15 employees at Notion and has been instrumental is shaping their community effort. Ben is also: → an active angel investor with 40+ deals → the creator of the Hummus day? → the founder of next play community Ben is the most humble person I know and I had so much fun talking about startups, communities, growth and angel investing with him. Some key discussion in this episode: → Founding a software startup with his father → Discovering Notion on Product Hunt → Launching notion-pages.com before joining → Meeting with the Ivan Zhao and team in SF → Developing the template gallery and community → Transitioning to Angel Investing as an apprentice → His unique value on the cap table and support 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆: https://lnkd.in/eWh-Jdt3 📍 for more startup stories, follow me @Hugo Rauch 📩 subscribe to my newsletter at the link below my name Thanks for a great conversation, Ben!

Can you trust someone blindly and not get betrayed? As a founder, I often ask myself this question. And every time, my team reminds me of the answer: Yes! Last night’s Christmas meet was a perfect example. It started with goal-setting and serious discussions about Stackwall’s future but soon became a laughter-filled bonding session. From sharing weird stories to cracking jokes (mostly on me, because why not?), it was a night to remember. Being a founder isn’t always easy, but moments like these make it worth it. In a startup, everyone carries impressive titles—CEO, CTO, Founder’s Office, Product Developer. However, deep down, we’re all just a group of dreamers, trusting each other blindly to build something amazing. And that’s the beauty of it! We may not have all the answers, but we’re figuring it out together. #startups #stackwalls

Founders, let's talk team slides – they should showcase your founding team, plain and simple. No advisors, no employees, no mentors, and definitely no parents or pets – just the 2-3 people who form your core founding members. It might seem like a no-brainer, but believe me, it's not as common knowledge as you'd think. Nowadays, team slides resemble the Avengers assembling, and that's not the image you want to project. #startup #founders #venturecapital

Many founders go into accelerators to raise $$$ – but it was *community* that changed everything for Finn’s startup. Specifically, two Swinburne Innovation Studio accelerators *literally* accelerated Fluency from barely an MVP into a sellable product in 3 months. How? Hear it from Finn himself. #exvicarious --- Hey, I'm Braith. I share about unconventional actions to achieve unconventional dreams. #StartupLessons #EntrepreneurJourney #GrowthMindset Hey everyone, Aleksa here! So, here’s the scoop: After three years of pouring our hearts and souls into our VC-backed tech startup, we’ve made the tough decision to shut it down. 😔 But you know what? I’ve never felt more confident and content in my life. Let me explain! Back in 2021, my co-founder and I dove headfirst into building something we were passionate about. We raised a $600k pre-seed round, navigated all the highs and lows, hired and fired, and learned more than we ever imagined. It’s been a rollercoaster, to say the least! Here are some of the biggest takeaways from this journey: **Align with the right people:** Only build for those whose values and motivation resonate with yours. (For me, that’s marketing, sales, and dev teams.) **Be your first customer:** Create what you’d personally pay for—eat your own dog food! 🐶 **Focus on revenue, not just feedback:** Build to make money, not just to please! 💰 **MSS over MVP:... Why Am I Confident About Closing My VC-Backed Startup After 3 Years? Answers: https://lnkd.in/g7dCSFhw Let's Connect! Have you faced similar challenge...
