The sentence that silenced Alexis and Sally (note: this rarely happens). In fact, it was one of many 'aha' moments for the co-hosts in the latest episode of We Are Human Leaders: a deeply moving conversation with Justin Jones-Fosu. Justin is an international speaker, a social entrepreneur, and author of the book “I Respectfully Disagree: How to Have Difficult Conversations in a Divided World.” And this conversation will blow your mind as well as your heart. Justin not only helps us understand how to Respectfully Disagree, but shares how to recognise that despite the surface-level differences our common humanity is something much much more important and profound. And something we each have a responsibility for acknowledging. Do you believe deep down that other people’s successes diminish your own chances for success? Their success is not a threat to YOUR calling. Not only is there still space for you, but there are still people only you will connect with, only you will come in contact with— people that you are CALLED to serve. Here’s what that means … No matter how many successful business owners there are ... Or how many successful podcasts there are ... Or how many successful authors there are ... Or how many successful coaches there are... There is still room for you. Why? Because you have a unique fingerprint that can leave a unique imprint. Don’t stay in a mindset of lack. Move to abundance. If you don’t, you will never be able to celebrate the successes of those around you. #abundancemindset #abundance #abundancementality #leadership #leadershipdevelopment

It’s harder than ever to be a leader. It’s easier than ever to blame external factors for problems we made. - Layci Nelson It doesn't matter if you are an introvert or an extrovert, what your enneagram number is, how big your vision is, what podcasts and gurus you listen to, or how pure your intentions are. To borrow the words of Dr. Peter Fruda, "To be a high-impact leader you need to have a solid grasp on these three things: How would you like to motivate and encourage others to behave? How are you actually motivating and encouraging others to behave? And if there is a gap between the two, which there certainly will be, how committed are you to close it?" If you cannot articulate an answer for all three of those areas, your impact is not what you are telling yourself it is. I help leaders align their actual impact with their intention. I help you identify the gap and develop a plan to close it. It is not comfortable work, but how much worth doing is? Thought Leadership: overhyped buzzword or essential strategy? “Thought leadership is just another piece of business jargon.” The term has taken some hits, but whether you call it that or not, becoming known for your expertise is crucial if you want to stand out in today’s crowded market. When I was 18, I had a front-row seat to see thought leadership in action at Richard Branson’s house. It stuck with me ever since and shaped my career. In my latest podcast episode, I’m breaking down: The criticisms of thought leadership (and why they matter) The different types of thought leadership (so you can find your unique style) My AIR system—Authority, Impact, and Reach—your blueprint to becoming the go-to expert in your field. As Abraham’s partner in the covenant, Sarah carried both the promise of a legacy and the pain of personal sacrifice. She made bold, risky decisions: inviting Hagar into the family, navigating power struggles, and ultimately protecting Isaac’s future. Each choice came with a cost—emotionally, relationally, and ethically. For today’s leaders, Sarah’s story offers powerful lessons: 1️⃣ What do you do when no option is perfect? 2️⃣ How do you balance personal feelings with the bigger picture? 3️⃣ Can you act with courage, even when it hurts? This isn’t just a history lesson. It’s a timeless story about leadership, risk, and resilience that speaks to all of us. 👉 Listen now and uncover the lessons from Sarah’s journey.

🚨 Do You Have a "No Guy"? 🚨 Welcome to a new FM Corner Podcast. Today, Danny sits down with good friend Keith Moore, President of US Exterior / US Handyman. Everyone needs that person. The one who isn't afraid to tell you "no"—but not because they disagree with you. They do it because they want you to make the best decision possible. It's not about who's right or wrong; it's about having someone who will give you the honest truth and guidance. Whether you're a vendor, FM, or a business leader, having someone in your corner who isn't afraid to push back is crucial for making well-informed decisions. 👉 If you don't have that kind of person in your circle, it’s time to find one! In business, it’s easy to get caught up in "yes" people, but it’s the ones who challenge you that help you grow. Surround yourself with people who prioritize your success over your comfort. That’s where real growth happens. Listen today as Keith talks about how he built his business, what is important to communicate to his clients, and what is deeply important to him as a business owner. "I don't normally like to drift into the political realm on this platform - my politics are pretty private. But I do love listening to the Ezra Klein New York Times Podcast he's an excellent interviewer, and a brilliant analyst of the American political landscape. His book “Why we are polarized” is a must read. But the reason I'm sharing this episode is because I find Nancy Pelosi's interview to be a fascinating study in leadership. She is truly remarkable. Someone who has kept her party together through really hard times. Just listen to this podcast and learn about how even at the very top of the political echelon in a country as polarized as America, how she talks about knowing your “why”, being a great listener, making sure that you include people and don't alienate them for having differences to you, how you should learn to trust your intuitions and how you've got to stick to your ethical code - you must stand for something. Fantastic insight into one of the most powerful, yet principled people in the US". 7 things I learnt from interviewing 200 millionaires. This is what distinguishes them from the rest. I’ve interviewed 260+ CEOs and world-class experts on my Speak Like a CEO podcast. Most are successful founders, investors or best-selling authors. What’s most surprising is that the most accomplished are the easiest to deal with. Setting up a conversation with Seth Godin? A warm intro, two emails. People like him have strong filters in place, but once they decide to do something, it is frictionless. They do few things, and they do them when the timing is right for them, but there is no time-wasting back-and-forth. By contract, a much less accomplished person recently rescheduled 3 times, then ghosted me. ♻️ What have you noticed dealing with the very successful? 📌 Follow Oliver Aust for more practical tips on leadership communication.

Ever feel like leadership advice can be overwhelming? 🤯 That’s why I loved chatting this week with Alan Heymann, JD, PCC about his books Embrace Your Inner Peaches 🍑and Don’t Just Have the Soup—it’s not your typical leadership read! Instead of chapters that drag on, Alan’s books offer bite-sized, weekly leadership analogies that will shift how you think about mindset, communication, and relationships. Perfect for those of us who want growth but don’t have hours to spare! Oh, and here’s a fun fact: all the illustrations in the book were done by Alan’s wife, a recently retired elementary school art teacher. How cool is that? 🎨 In this On a Mission Mojo podcast episode, we dive into how analogies can help reframe your story and break through the feeling of being stuck. Trust me, you’ll walk away seeing leadership in a whole new light.
