I just got off a call with our third Trailblazer Program recipient this year, and man, I'm inspired. The Trailblazer Program is Next Destination Marketing's core charitable initiative. We create free micro-websites for BIPOC immigrants & refugees who are starting their first businesses or organizations. I have always wanted corporate social responsibility to be a core part of my business. Last year, I was finally able to get the program off the ground, and in 2024 we are supporting three incredible organizations: 1. A case management company that focuses on intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, & mental health conditions among immigrant and minority communities. 2. A multicultural center nonprofit for immigrant youth in Maine. 3. A non-profit that marries economic development and environmental protection projects in Burundi's rural villages. This process taught me that communities with needs already contain incredibly smart, knowledgeable, compassionate, and motivated people to solve them. If we're not part of the community with the need, our job isn't to provide solutions.
