🔌 Levels of Electric Shocks: Why Safety Should Always Be a Priority ⚡ I’ve been diving deeper into the impact of electric currents on the human body, and it’s astonishing how even small amounts can have serious effects. From a slight tingling at just 0.5 mA to potentially fatal outcomes at 10,000 mA, understanding these thresholds is crucial, especially in our field. I came across this chart that really drives home the importance of knowing these details. It’s a powerful reminder of why we can’t take safety for granted. Whether you’re working directly with electrical systems or overseeing projects, this information is a must know. Sharing this to raise awareness—let’s keep safety at the forefront of everything we do. #ElectricalSafety #EngineeringLife #StaySafe #WorkplaceWellness

Yes, the mission of the rescuer was commendable in attempting to save the bird's life caught in the electric cables. However, the rescue method he used was flawed. First, he should have informed the relevant organisation or electricity company by calling the emergency number so that people with appropriate training could come to do the rescue work. Additionally, the overhead power line should have been isolated for consideration using the Lock Out, Tag Out, Try Out (LOTOTO) procedure. This involves disconnecting the power source, locking it in the off position, and tagging it to prevent accidental re-energization. Furthermore, he should have used insulated equipment, non-conductive materials like wood for ladders, and insulating live-line tools. Before initiating any rescue operation, it's vital to fully comprehend the potential consequences of electric shock (electrocution). These can be severe, ranging from muscle spasms and weakness to shallow breathing, rapid pulse, severe burns, unconsciousness, and even death. This understanding underscores the gravity of the situation and the need for a cautious approach. SAFETY FIRST.
