What is the role of healthcare in our society? How can we improve the Croatian healthcare system, which was designed in a time that is far behind us and for a society that no longer exists? These questions are increasingly being raised due to significant demographic and technological changes that affect the healthcare system in Croatia. Therefore, on June 6th and 7th, Pavilion 13 at the Zagreb Fair will host the most relevant global and Croatian actors as part of the second edition of a unique regional conference on healthcare – HealthComm Forum 2024. The goal of this year's Forum is to achieve a consensus among participants on the mentioned social contract and to open a discussion on the necessary steps to redefine the healthcare system and restore citizens' trust in it.

I loved Prof. Adam CHEE's keynote at Health Asia International Exhibition & Conferences in Karachi, Pakistan last month. I highly recommend this video of his session, in which he covers some practical applications of #AI in healthcare including: • AI in triage. • Virtual consultations and diagnosis. • AI in hospital operations. • AI-driven medical decision support. He says these may sound futuristic, yet the technology is already here (even if it's not evenly distributed). But technology is not the main problem - it's optimising processes and getting doctors, patients and governments to decide to use it and fund it. He also addresses challenges and ethical concerns including data privacy, security and algorithm bias, regulation compliance, job displacement and accountability. And for inspiration, don't miss his look into the future of AI in healthcare and what to expect in the years to come.
