👋 We are looking for a new Plant Manager! In 2022, we began operating Norway's first and one of Europe's largest #batteryrecycling plants in Fredrikstad. Today, the plant has 50+ employees and the capacity to handle 25,000 electric vehicles annually at the plant’s two modern industrial facilities in the Øra industrial park. Hydrovolt is a rapidly growing company in an emerging industry, and we are now looking for a plant manager with great drive, strong leadership qualities, and teamwork skills, as well as a willingness to drive change and further develop our operations. You must thrive in a startup and growth culture where organization, processes, and tasks are in continuous development. Introducing Tulsi Patel, Critical Minerals Policy Advisor. Tulsi’s current role in one line: to bring lithium policy together at the state, federal, and global levels, then tie it to the global supply chain – which includes lithium, batteries, and EVs – and how it impacts our business. Why she chose to join Low Carbon Solutions: “I have a BS in chemical engineering and PhD in materials engineering, so the space is familiar to me as a research engineer. But from the policy side, it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a part of this energy transition. These policies are very new and at the early stages of development. And ExxonMobil, as one of the biggest energy companies in the world, has a big voice in this space, and it’s exciting to be part of that.” Three words to describe her new role: “Challenging, fun, but ultimately impactful.” On planting seeds for the future: “We’re in it for the long game, and it’s going to take many years, especially on the policy front, to get to where we want to be. What we’re doing is planting the seeds; it’s going to be in the next 10-15 years down the road when we see the impact, and that’s exciting.” What has surprised her about joining the organization: “The thoughtfulness that goes into our projects.
