At #Everoze our day-to-day work is about revealing issues and not "wash" over them, but to properly address them. And so with our own #carbonemissions we stick to the same approach. Well, in our last financial year carbon reductions were not as expected, and although we have selected worthy carbon removal schemes, we also know that mitigation works remain a very small part of the overall picture. Thanks to my colleague Benjamin Lock for highlighting in this article, that: "Both for Everoze and the wider world, the focus must be on reducing emissions first and foremost. We see our work to enable the #renewableenergy transition as a vital part of this. And if we can also reduce the harmful side effects of doing that work, then so much the better. But the latest results show the risk of getting complacent, particularly in a self-managed organisation such as Everoze. We also can’t solve these problems alone. So if you have any insights from working through similar tricky topics with other organisations, we would love to hear from you." #decarbonisation
🌍 When Everoze first developed an internal decarbonisation plan we set a clear intention to share our progress on all fronts: monitoring emissions, working to reduce impacts, and mitigating the effects of what we couldn't avoid. This is easy to do when progress has been good, but not everything always goes strictly to plan. In this blog, Everoze partner Benjamin Lock offers an update on our decarbonisation work after a challenging year in 2022-23. https://lnkd.in/dt-xWPyY

The UK's CCS Track 2 Clusters: A Game-Changer for Net-Zero Aspirations When we talk about tackling climate change, scaling innovative solutions like carbon capture isn’t just desirable—it’s essential. The UK government’s recent strides in engaging transport and service providers for the Acorn and Viking CCS clusters under Track 2 are a monumental leap toward decarbonization. Here’s why this matters: What Are the Acorn and Viking Clusters? Acorn: Located in northeast Scotland, the Acorn cluster focuses on utilizing existing infrastructure to capture and store CO₂ from local industries. Viking: Anchored in the Humber region, this project targets the UK's most carbon-intensive industrial zone. Together, these projects aim to sequester millions of tons of CO₂ annually, paving the way for a cleaner future. Why This Is a Big Deal Driving Investments: The engagement with transport and service providers signals the government’s intent to make CCS commercially viable. This is a golden opportunity for investors looking at green technology markets. Global Implications: While the UK is leading the charge, the scalable nature of these clusters creates blueprints for international replication. What Investors Need to Know The Numbers Add Up: The global CCS market is projected to grow to over $35 billion by 2030. With its robust infrastructure and policy support, the UK is poised to capture a sizable share. Policy Backing: The UK government has pledged £20 billion to CCS over the next two decades, ensuring long-term viability. What’s Next? This is just the beginning. Acorn and Viking are part of a much larger effort to accelerate the UK’s net-zero goals by 2050. For startups and investors, it’s a call to action—align your resources with this green revolution. #NetZeroGreenBharat #CarbonHydrogenX #CCSInnovation #SustainableFuture #GreenInvestments #EnergyTransition #ClimateAction #UKNetZero #CleanTech #IndustrialDecarbonization #CarbonCapture #GreenEconomy

Do you know what the carbon footprint is? 🤔 It’s an environmental indicator that reflects the amount of greenhouse gases, expressed as CO2 equivalent, that are emitted directly or indirectly as a result of a specific activity. 🏭 In this month’s #OMTTK, we explain the different types of carbon footprints based on the activity we focus on and how to reduce them. Each and every one of us can contribute to the fight against climate change by promoting carbon footprint reduction. ♻️ At Naeco, we have our Naeco Reduce program focused on analyzing and measuring the potential CO2 reductions that our clients can achieve by using our products. Take a look at our Naeco Reduce program! 👇 https://lnkd.in/dvu_Vv3y #carbonfootprint #Naeco #omttk #togetherwithyou #climatechange https://lnkd.in/dmNybaE3

PNZ Carbon launches its first public Emissions Assessment. We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our first-ever Emissions Assessment, marking a significant milestone in our journey toward achieving our sustainability goals. This comprehensive report offers a transparent look at our carbon footprint, and the new data dashboard provides detailed insights into key areas of our operations and provides us with the tools to measure and visualise our progress in real-time. Following our verified Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) targets, this report marks a crucial first step in our decarbonisation strategy, and we invite you to explore the report and dashboard, as we look forward to providing regular updates as we continue this journey. Through our comprehensive offsetting strategy, we have retired high-quality Verified Carbon Units (VCUs) generated by our retrofit program, resulting in the generation of £8794 in social value alongside the emissions saved. We are proud to be investing in offsets which uniquely focus on enhancing resident health and well-being. A huge thank you to our dedicated team for making this achievement possible, and to our partners and stakeholders for your continued support in our efforts to create a greener, more resilient world through the decarbonisation of UK homes! #PNZCarbon #Sustainability #NetZero
