This poem, “The Silence We Keep: Hear Me Before I’m Gone,” is a heartfelt plea from a young person yearning to be heard. It reflects the challenges they face and the urgency for us to listen. Let us break the cultural and traditional myths about suicide and bridge the generational gap, encouraging a culture of support and empathy, and creating an environment where our children and young people do not turn to despair in silence and alone. Our workbooks are designed to guide parents and youth alike in navigating these difficult emotions, fostering understanding, and breaking the stigma that often surrounds mental health discussions. On National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day, let's remember the powerful role that reading plays in promoting mental wellness among our youth. Books have the incredible ability to transport children to new worlds, spark their imagination, and help them navigate complex emotions. Let's prioritize literacy as a tool for nurturing healthy minds and supporting children's mental health journey. 📚💖 Today's the last day to buy 'The Princess Has to Pee!' and get the second book 'Tousled' for half off with code "mothersday" #ChildrensMentalHealth #ReadingMatters #ChildrensMentalHealthAwarenessDay

Love this Laura! Stories are the best way for children to dive in and explore all sorts of personal, social and emotional learning up close but from a safe viewpoint! The more we can support children to proactively build foundational tools for strong mental health through stories the better💛🌱🌍 #childrensmentalhealth #mentalhealth #earlyyears #eyfs #wellbeing #childdevelopment #stories #sel #parents #teachers #schools #storiesforlearning

❓Did you know that children as young as birth to five already have their own unique mental health needs and experiences? 🧐It’s never too early to start thinking about children’s mental wellbeing and one powerful way to foster good wellbeing is through storytelling. 📘Telling stories can connect adults and children, introducing new ideas and concepts. ✅Come along to the free online webinar with Anna Freud to hear about ways to creatively support children aged 0-5 to develop positive wellbeing using stories. ✍🏽You’ll also get access to the new free early years storybook written by me and illustrared by Zenovia Grant: ‘Sometimes Happy, Sometimes Sad’, and a guide on how to use it to teach positive mental wellbeing. The corresponding guide, which helps adults reading this book to children understand the themes contained in the story, was written by the team at Anna Freud Dr Abi Miranda, an Educational Psychologist, and Claudia Carter Coussins , a psychotherapist. 🗓️Date: Thursday June 27th 2024 🕟Time: 16:30 - 18:00 BST ➡️ Click on this link to book your free place and to share: https://lnkd.in/ef2ZipiM #InfantMentalHealthWeek

As we observe Mental Health Awareness Month, it's crucial to remember that our actions and attitudes play a significant role in shaping our children's understanding of mental well-being. Our children learn more from what we do than what we say. By modeling good mental health practices, we're not only taking care of ourselves but also teaching our children invaluable life skills. Let's make mental health a priority for ourselves and the next generation. 💚 #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth

This is a great post from the American Nutrition Association. Choline is an essential nutrient that plays a vital role in our overall health. It supports brain function, liver health, muscle movement, and cellular maintenance. Despite its importance, many people do not get enough choline in their diets. Here are some simple ways to incorporate choline-rich foods into your daily routine: 1. Start Your Day with Eggs: Eggs are one of the richest sources of choline. Enjoy them scrambled, boiled, or in an omelet for a nutritious breakfast. 2. Add Fish to Your Meals: Fish like salmon and cod are excellent sources of choline. Try incorporating fish into your lunch or dinner a few times a week. 3. Include Lean Meats: Beef liver and chicken breast are high in choline. Add these lean meats to your meals to boost your intake. 4. Snack on Nuts and Seeds: Almonds, sunflower seeds, and peanuts are great snacks that provide a good amount of choline. 5.Eat Cruciferous Vegetables: Vegetables like broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and cauliflower are excellent plant-based sources of choline. Add them to your salads, stir-fries, or as side dishes. 7. Incorporate Whole Grains: Whole grains such as quinoa and wheat germ are also good sources of choline. Use them as a base for your meals or in baking. By making these simple dietary adjustments, you can ensure you are getting enough choline to support your body's essential functions. Let's prioritize our health by incorporating choline-rich foods into our daily diets! #Nutrition #Choline #HealthyEating #BrainHealth #LiverHealth #DietaryTips #Wellness
