As a former Olympic hopeful I get mixed emotions during this time. It’s a reminder of the beauty and the beast that track is. Olympic trials and the Olympics brings out many viewers every 4 years. It gives a skewed view of this life we call track. It’s great that track is getting noticed on a different level due to the era that we are in. But it is my hope a true shift will happen. The most effective way for this to manifest is going require a bottom up restructuring. The NBC deal with celebrity appearances is a nice touch. The posts by temporary track fans are cute. The charisma, stories, and rivalries are fantastic. But what happens when this all fades? Some of it will fade in July for 4 years. Some of it will fade when the athlete is injured or having down years. Some of it will fade when the athlete stops competing. New generations don’t even know many icons of our sport whose names were just as big as the few we hear now. For athletes by athletes, it’s time to own your gift. Let us not only be legends on the track but also build a legendary legacy in life. We must start having the right conversations. Asking the right questions. And making the right moves. The best time to make that happen is when you know you are creating a platform that can change your life and your family’s life. Learn how to be a business, stop living competition to competition, signing anything, and start leveraging and protecting your brand. If you are in Atlanta I hope to see you on July 20th to ignite the power within you. Scan the QR code or visit https://lnkd.in/ebG9te2v and pull up!

🏅 Performance in Sports = Performance at Work and in Life “94% of women in C-suites identify themselves as athletes.” Whether on the field, in the office, or at home, there’s something about pushing through the tough moments that ties it all together. 💪 In sports, we learn to set goals, build discipline, embrace teamwork, and bounce back from failure. The same principles apply to work and life: 1️⃣ Set a clear goal: Just like aiming for a personal best, setting goals in our careers keeps us focused and driven. 2️⃣ Discipline wins: Success requires consistency—whether it’s daily training for a marathon or working toward professional growth. 3️⃣ Embrace the team: In sports, no one wins alone. The same goes for work—we rise by collaborating, supporting, and learning from each other. 4️⃣ Resilience is key: Every game lost, every challenge faced at work or in life, teaches us to get back up stronger. The mindset we bring to sports translates directly into how we approach the ups and downs of our careers and personal lives. The key takeaway? Perform like an athlete in everything you do. What lessons have sports taught you that you carry into your work or life? 🏄🏾♀️🏌🏻♀️🏊🏼♀️🚴🏼♀️🏃♀️🏈⚽️⚾️🥎🏐 https://lnkd.in/gHbp5C4S #Leadership #WorkLifeBalance #GrowthMindset #Discipline #Teamwork #Resilience #Performance

#marchmadness2024 just finished. Travel basketball has started. It's a great reminder about keeping One Moments in perspective. Not to focus on "what we did" but on "what we need." To #BeBetterToday & realize that life is more than one moment. This is an older post, but just as valid today for the sports world, work or life. We can become frozen, devastated, or depressed because of a single moment. We can take in the burden & guilt for a single moment that was only a blip on the lifeline you live. 1440 minutes in a day. 52.6k minutes in a year. So many moments to enjoy. So many moments to learn. So many moments to love. So many moments to grow. Where is your focus? Are you keeping things in perspective for you AND for how you evaluate others. If you get a chance, go read this post and identify those moments that have haunted you for too long. Is it time to let them go? https://lnkd.in/gC9kJKDq

We are helping programs transform awareness into ownership, which is the first step in becoming a player-led program... "Ultimately, the goal is to create an environment where athletes are not just following instructions but are actively engaged in their journey toward peak performance and well-being. By focusing on the foundational pillars of athlete readiness and leveraging technology to enhance understanding and accountability, coaches can foster a culture of continuous improvement."

Completing a 5k to most, especially those of my connections that are prior military or have a fitness background would be easy & most likely just another day. But to those who severely struggle with their weight, their relationship with food, and their overall fitness this is an accomplishment that is truly inspiring. Reading this article & watching Jelly Roll complete this made me think of my fitness journey. My personal fitness journey began in the Army, marked by a significant reality check. Initially "fat" and clearly out of shape, I received a pivotal talk from my Lieutenant, who made it clear that In a high-stakes environment where lives depended on my ability to perform as a medic, aka Doc, I had no choice but to transform. This was the catalyst that propelled me into taking ownership and accountability ultimately leading me into the world of fitness. I dove deep, initially working across multiple CrossFit gyms before transitioning to online coaching. Though I've scaled back to focus predominantly on HR, talent acquisition, and recruiting, the lessons from my fitness journey still resonate profoundly. At first, it’s hard, but with each step, left foot, right foot, the daily action turns into results, ultimately giving you earned confidence or as I like to call it, life’s superpower. For anyone on their fitness or professional journey, remember: the catalyst might be external, but the commitment must come from within. Jelly Roll's story isn't just about weight loss; it's about taking control of your narrative. Let's embrace our roles wholeheartedly, be it in health, leadership, or career. 💪 #FitnessJourney #Leadership #HR #TalentAcquisition #Motivation (https://lnkd.in/dwup5Sx4)

Finish 2024 Like a Champion As we approach the end of the year, think of Q4 as the anchor leg of an Olympic race—the moment where your effort, focus, and strategy can turn a good year into a great one. One of my clients, Johnny, was having an okay year. He was meeting his targets, but he felt out of sync—like he was just getting by rather than thriving. He decided to challenge himself for the final leg of the year and treated the last 90 days like his own Olympic race. He pushed hard, honed his focus, and put a system in place that would keep him on track for years to come. The result? Johnny didn’t just finish strong; he built momentum that set him up for sustained success. His 90-day challenge transformed his practice, proving that when you focus on what matters most, you can finish strong and set the stage for peak performance well into the future. Are you ready to finish the year like a champion? It’s not too late to make the last quarter your strongest yet. If you're serious about taking your business to the next level and want a system that works beyond just a single quarter, let's connect. 🏆 Finish strong. Thrive longer. Start now.
