Not to flex, but did you know we’re managing 20-30 product development programs at once? 😮💨 It’s a fast-paced ride, but with the right systems in place, we keep everything running smoothly. How exactly do we make it happen? Here’s a sneak peek: In our latest blog, Engineering Program Manager Robert Blaauboer and Sustainability Manager Sander de Clercq break it all down. Robert keeps things flowing with the Stage Gate Methodology, while Sander makes sure sustainability is built into every step – from materials to production. Curious to know more? Making change means you are passionate in believing for a better tomorrow. The journey is difficult and passion will carry you through. 🔹 Perseverance : nothing of value comes easy and even the greatest ideas have met with great resistance, there will be failures but getting up and going again will lead to ultimate success. 🔹 Perspective: despite everything we need to put our own egos and functional interest second behind the larger picture. We should live each day as our last but work as if tomorrow never ends and work for the good of the future. The long term perspective is key to building a strong organisation. After a week in Asia visiting our engineering hubs and manufacturing partners, I’ve been reflecting on the product design and development process. Great products are created in person - “passed through the hands” Not on teams calls or boardroom meetings. True innovation and problem-solving happens when designers, engineers, scientists and programmers come together in the same room. Choose your battles wisely! Design often involves compromise and trade-offs—such as reducing a few millimeters in depth at the cost of battery capacity. Consider what you’re willing to sacrifice. Visit production and assembly lines! To truly grasp how a product is made and assembled, you need to understand the process. Effective design is meaningless without solid execution.
