Between Buhari and Tinubu: A Tale of Two Presidents On Thursday, April 19, 2018, during his first major foreign business trip, President Muhammadu Buhari called Nigerian youths "lazy" at the Commonwealth Business Forum in London. Contrast this with President Bola Tinubu's glowing tribute to Nigeria's youth on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the ongoing 2024 G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He praised Nigeria's youth as "very vibrant" and sought support for his plan to feed all Nigerian public schoolchildren at least one meal a day while they enjoy free education. Just look at the contrast. Buhari told the Telegraph of London that Nigeria's youth are "in prisons all over the world accused of drug trafficking or human trafficking." Compare this with Tinubu, who told the G20 that Nigeria's youth are 'creative and vibrant'. President Buhari's disdain for Nigeria's youth was legendary, and that was why there was not a single youth in his cabinet. Please fact-check me: The average age of General Buhari's ministers was 61 years. If you are interested, you can see the age breakdown of the Buhari cabinet here https://lnkd.in/e-AzD5Ef The youngest person in Buhari's cabinet was then 44-year-old Sadiya Umar Faruk. Contrast that with the Tinubu cabinet, which started out with six young persons in their thirties and early forties and an average age of 52, almost a decade younger than the average age of Buhari's ministers. This shows Nigeria's youth that they finally have a President who will fight for them, rather than one who will fight against them. In Tinubu, Nigeria's youth have a President who understands them. In contrast, with Buhari, they had a President who stands them under. That is why one of President Tinubu's first major policies on assumption of office was to provide student loans to help Nigerian youths go to school, whereas Buhari's first significant policy after his election was to shut down the Almajiri school program of the previous administration to stop Nigerian children from going to school. It is said that nations grow when elders plant trees whose shade they know they will not enjoy. In Tinubu, Nigeria's youth have such a leader. The days of condemnation of our youths are over. Now, we have entered the era of commendation of the young people of Nigeria. May God bless Nigeria. Reno Omokri Gospeller. Deep Thinker. #TableShaker. ℹ Polish Business Council in Dubai is a non-profit organization licensed and regulated by Dubai Chambers. We are one of over 40 business councils operating under their umbrella - with some of the councils having a really long history (for example, the Finnish Business Council UAE will celebrate their 20th anniversary later this year!). The Council is fully funded and run by its members. It was established by 20 companies - either local representations of Polish businesses, or local companies owned by Polish citizens - and we are hoping to attract many more, so that we can become a vibrant and active community, capable of increasing the visibility and position of Poland and Polish business in the UAE. 🙌 While the focus is on strengthening ties with local entities and giving more exposure to our members, we are also here to unite the Polish business and professional community, which will be achieved through events, workshops and initiatives undertaken by us, also in cooperation with other country councils and with local partners. 🌐 👉 Our agenda will be determined by our members, and they will collectively dictate the course the Council will take. We welcome members representing all industries, and we are hoping to become a welcoming platform for professional networking, learning and growth for all our members, and a meaningful addition to the Dubai economic scene. #Poland #UAE #Dubai #DubaiChambers #PolishBusinessCouncil #business #community #joinus

There needs to be a more balanced approach in #allocating funds to the #KheloIndia programme, as the current ₹10,000 stipend is insufficient to meet the needs of athletes, especially those selected to represent India on the #global stage. My analysis for businessline Read: https://lnkd.in/g67aJMuS

The team consisting of Eylah singh, Abhinav Shukla, Sarthak Kumar Ambashtha, Suryansh Singh and Lisa Gupta from National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL) recently advanced as the Top 4 team and qualified for the Global Rounds of FDI'24. The world rounds are going to be held in Berlin, Germany from 1-4 November. However, the team faces a significant financial challenge. To proceed with the visa process, they urgently need funding of Rs. 10 Lakh, which covers visa fees, accommodation, travel expenses, and other essential costs. The visa application deadline is fast approaching, and they need to apply by September 11, 2024, to secure an appointment in early October. Any delay could jeopardize their ability to participate in this international event. Having personally interacted with the team, I can attest to their immense potential and dedication. They represent a bright future in the legal field, and your support could make all the difference in their journey. Any contribution, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated and will go a long way in helping them achieve their dreams. Please consider donating to support these talented students as they prepare to represent their university on the global stage. If possible, kindly drop in comments any lead that you may think could help them get the desired funding. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support. The CRA should take action beyond simply updating the status. Those that obtained tax breaks should repay the money to Canadians. More medical schools and rehabilitation facilities are necessary for our people's well-being.The CRA certainly have the names of those who claimed benefits. Canadian require more medical schools and rehabilitation facilities for the welfare of our people. Canadians should be able to recoup these tax benefits from billionaires who sent money overseas to build projects like #Canada Park over Palestinian villages and other projects abroad, merely a fancy cover, while leaving our people on the street to die from overdose and cold.
CRA notifies Jewish National Fund it will revoke Canadian charitable status

Engaging the Community: Help Us Create Jobs for Kenya’s Youth Kenya is at a crossroads. With increasing mistrust between the government and citizens, more of us are taking control of our future, creating opportunities where none existed before. At Moran Cement, our mission is to build not just structures, but a brighter future for our youth—a future where they can find meaningful work here at home, without the need to seek opportunities abroad. The Challenge and Opportunity The Kenyan government has been encouraging overseas employment, but this option remains out of reach for many due to financial constraints. Instead of looking outside, we believe in creating opportunities within our borders. We’re on the brink of securing a $5 billion loan that will allow us to expand our operations and hire more young professionals, but we face a final hurdle: the closing meetings for this loan are in Bahrain and Dubai. To finalize this loan and turn our vision into reality, we need to raise $100,000 to cover the costs of legalization, travel, and accommodation for these crucial meetings. How You Can Support 1. Contribute Today Your contribution, no matter how small, can have a profound impact. A $10 donation brings us closer to finalizing the loan and creating hundreds of jobs for Kenyan youth. Visit our FundMyTravel campaign (https://lnkd.in/dKHVmh7y) to make your donation and invest in Kenya’s future. 2. Share Our Campaign Not everyone can contribute financially, but you can still help by spreading the word. Share our campaign with your networks and encourage others to support this initiative. The more people we reach, the closer we get to our goal. 3. Offer Your Expertise We also need professionals who can donate their time and expertise. Whether you’re in finance, law, or project management, your skills could be crucial in helping us navigate this critical phase. Let’s Build the Future Together At Moran Cement, we’re committed to fostering a self-sufficient and prosperous Kenya. By supporting this campaign, you’re not just helping us secure a loan—you’re helping to create opportunities for the next generation of Kenyan leaders and innovators. Join us in making this vision a reality. Together, we can build a Kenya where our youth can thrive. SEAN MACHARIA CEO, Moran Cement
