What’s your definition of marketing? The simplest, most effective way to describe it? In healthcare, I’m finding that most practices want to broadcast a wide, shallow net to catch any and every patient with any and every problem while using the same language. Looks something like this: “At XYZ orthopedics we use the most advanced technology and state of the art equipment offered by top doctors to revolutionize the way back pain is treated.” 😣 😣 😣 Rather, they should be going narrow and deep. Identify first, the solution you have for a particular problem Secondly, identify who would want that solution. Lastly, identify where they hang out and put your message there. Here’s what that looks like: “At XYZ orthopedics we know you can’t stay at the top of your golf game if you’re dealing with nagging back pain. The problem is most treatments for back pain only offer temporary relief because they address the pain NOT the direct cause of the pain. While being pain free is great, we offer an approach using stem cell therapy that can help you be rid of the pain for good. [insert short testimonial from a golfer here for social proof] Click to schedule your consultation with one of our doctors that specialize in helping you stay pain free without the use addictive medicines, more steroids or surgery.” ☝️ ☝️ This language is specific to one person (golfer) with one problem (back pain) using one solution (stem cell therapy) using simple to understand language. And because stem cell therapy is a cash based service, we would need to make sure this message is delivered to golf clubs in our local market that are affluent in nature. This type of marketing message and tactic brought hundreds of thousands to my private practice on a regular basis. It works. So, what’s your definition of marketing? #healthcare #healthcaremarketing #marketingmessage #doctors #healthcareproviders

Spot on! Marketing is about speaking directly to the right people with the right message. It’s not about casting a wide net, but about zeroing in on a specific problem and offering a tailored solution.
