What’s shaping the lateral market? Just wrapped up Leopard Solutions annual State of the Industry webinar. Some key takeaways: 💡 Litigation continues to dominate as the most in-demand practice area for lateral hires—by a wide margin. Trailing behind (but not closely) are Corporate, L&E, IP, and Real Estate. 💼 Over the past two years, new hires have outpaced lateral hires at AmLaw 200 firms—a shift worth watching. 🌴 The biggest firm expansions? California led the way, followed by Florida and Texas. If you're curious about a move or want to know more about the current market in your city, DM me!

As an ex-Wynwood resident, this week is my Holy Week! So I'm kicking off our "US Jobs Hot List" with an MIA M&A opening and a photo from our last Art Week as locals. Also featured - Boston M&A (at our favorite firm to recruit for), and a new December cap markets role! MIAMI BIGLAW, M&A, 2ND-4th YEARS. This one will be competitive, so top-tier BigLaw credentials are essential. No language skills are required other than English. Ideal M&A background is a mix of private and public transactions on the buy and sell side. Global M&A practice with strengths in Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Plot Twist: you can also be based in NYC and a few other major offices. BOSTON BIGLAW, 2ND-4TH YEARS, MID-MARKET M&A. This is one of our favorite firms to recruit for. We've placed attorneys at various class years across their offices on multiple continents. They're on a growth streak in several markets. You don't need the Mass Bar, but need to be eligible to take the Mass Bar. DECEMBER'S FIRST CAP MKTS OPENING: As a former Cap Markets associate, I do a happy dance each time I see a capital markets opening. This one's for New York and they're zeroing in on in-market candidates with the NY bar and real BigLaw experience. 3rd-4th years are the sweet spot.
