If you’re one of the millions of people giving to charity this holiday season, your gifts may be tax deductible. To be eligible for a deduction of up to 60% of your adjusted gross income, you must itemize deductions. Also, charities that receive your donations must be tax-exempt. You can check the IRS’s site (https://bit.ly/3ViMOcb ) to confirm an organization’s exempt status and compliance with filing requirements. If you need more time to investigate charities before donating, be sure to complete all gifts by Dec. 31. Contact us for more information. #CharitableGiving #HolidayDonations #TaxDeductions #YearEndTaxTips #TaxPlanning #IRSApprovedCharities #GivingSeason #Philanthropy #TaxSavings #TaxTips

Not sure where to start when encouraging your donors to start their legacy planning? Here are three ways you can encourage them to start: 1. Start a conversation with loved ones about legacy/values. 2. Update their beneficiaries to include a charity. A great place to start is to suggest considering this on an IRA or 401(k) to maximize tax advantages. 3. Give in ways that benefit charity immediately but also lower their estate value (and subsequent taxes). Whether it's as small as starting a conversation or as big as including charity in your estate plan, it's never too early to encourage building a legacy. #legacy #legacybuilding #generations #giving #plannedgiving #donors #nonprofits
